  1. Parts ordered to make a 4 Tire Inflation system

I have a Speedflate, and still want to build one of my own for the reason you state. Good on ya for going high end too!
  2. Overlanding fridge/freezer set up

Wish I had the space and budget for that! I mean, who wouldn't want ice cream at camp? I'm sure you could adjust the settings on the freezer side to operate as a fridge; not sure if the opposite is true on the fridge side.
  3. Overlanding fridge/freezer set up

I have a Dometic CFX3 35 in my rig. It's on a Goose Gear seat delete on the driver's side, and also have it hardwired with the Dometic kit. At camp I plug it into a Jackery 500. It's been nothing but great for my use, and I particularly like the ability to control it via the app. I've had it...
  4. Are most Overlanding rigs overweight?

Not calling out anyone on here, just referencing a couple earlier posts on the topic where full RTT's etc. were mentioned. Sorry if I offended, wasn't my intent.
  5. Are most Overlanding rigs overweight?

1000% this IMO. My Rubicon is effectively stock (no lift, 33"s) for this reason, and I've taken on some rather rocky trails with no issues. You're not alone under that bridge my friend. Also, I'm one of those who's RTT and bed rack stay on full time. I don't have a garage, or anyone who could...
  6. Best Experiences Unique to Southern California in a Gladiator

I would add just about all of Anza Borrego, which is just west of Ocotillo Wells. Lots and lots to explore in a unique desert environment.
  7. What did you do TO your Gladiator today?

Curious, what's the story with the antenna?
  8. What gas are you using?

Correct, one and the same. Quite a few around me.
  9. What gas are you using?

Top Tier 87 octane. I usually fill up at Unocal 76 near me as its historically the least expensive, but otherwise not brand selective so long as they have Top Tier gas. MPG is usually 17.5-18, built for overlanding (bed rack, RTT, etc), but otherwise stock JTR.
  10. Gladiator Build & Adventure - 18 months around Australia with The Road Chose Me

Great video making this look simpler than what I expected it to be. I'll be taking this project on for my rig. Thank you Dan!
  11. Anyone planning on going to the Overland Expo West in Flagstaff?

I'm like you man. I was there in 2019 and the camping area was far too people'y for my taste. Back to OP's question, I will likely attend, but not camp on site.
  12. Jay Leno's Apocalypse Gladiator

Like you, I've been fortunate to have crossed paths with him and this isn't his style. I think the title of this thread is a bit of a misnomer; the video is Jay reviewing the vehicle and the builder. I don't believe it's actually his.
  13. Jay Leno's Apocalypse Gladiator

I saw one of these here in So Cal a couple weeks ago. OD green, with limb risers, but otherwise identical to this. It definitely commands attention, but its not for me.
  14. Traction boards or kinetic rope first

Boards first, for the aforementioned reasons. Also, I highly recommend the "buy once, cry once" philosophy here and get Maxtrax or ARB TredPros.
  15. What did you do TO your Gladiator today?

It serves double duty in that sense! :D
  16. Better air filter?

Sorry man, I somehow read this as being diesel. 'scuse me as I get more coffee.
  17. Better air filter?

Looks like Hauk Offroad offers a snorkel for the diesel now. Fellow desert dweller as well, so I feel your pain. I went with the AEV snorkel, SyKlone precleaner, then aFe Power Filter. This combination thus far has worked well for me, and I think the precleaner makes the biggest difference.
  18. What did you do TO your Gladiator today?

Installed make shift ladder mounts for my Freespirit Odyssey RTT. I have the previous gen tent, which came with a telescoping ladder with hooked ends where you were expected to just hang those over edge of the tent. I found that it dug into the tent fabric too much, and at times hinder the...
  19. Wrangler 4XE charge port cowl repurposed for ARB on-board air connection

Nice work. This is really really well done.
  20. Got ‘er over a hunnert today

I'm down the hill from you in Palm Springs. Anything below 110 is whatever. So long as it's dry, that is.
