  1. Gladiator 3l turbo diesel and Silverado 3l turbo diesel. I’ve got both so mini review.

I did some towing this weekend. My son has moved to Michigan, hence all the trips up there recently. Well, we took his furniture up on Monday using an enclosed trailer I borrowed from my parents. Ended up getting 21.2mpg average on the trip. Considering how freaking tall the trailer is I'm...
  2. 37’s on eco diesel, mpg hit?

Totally stock here but pretty much the same. Mileage drops off over 70 as the Jeep is a brick…. Honestly I get better mileage on trips if I don’t granny it. Get up to speed and resume the cruise.
  3. Enough about the ESS ! ( Auto Start Stop)

Our diesel auto also has an ESS disable button. Not just an M6 thing.
  4. Gladiator 3l turbo diesel and Silverado 3l turbo diesel. I’ve got both so mini review.

Dude, it doesn’t seem to matter what I do, the truck averages 26mpg. It creeps up to 27 on longer trips but 26-ish seems to be the norm. Also, trust me I don’t “granny” it. I’m in the turbo a lot.
  5. MBRP Filter Back Exhaust

Excellent. Sounds like other than minimal cost there is basically no downside.
  6. MBRP Filter Back Exhaust

Very nice. I keep thinking about going this route..... ETA - any drone or "unpleasantness" in the cab after the change? My wife usually drives the Glad as I have my Silverado for a company truck and I don't want to "mess up the truck" for her.
  7. Napkin Math...

Here's our HA Diesel. Bone stock.
  8. Is 6' 3" really too tall

6’7” here. If I lean back my hair brushes the bar. I’m quite comfortable in our High Altitude.
  9. Ecodiesel - Start/Stop - Does anyone else hate it like me?

I’m not a fan. Hate it on both my diesels. First thing I do when I start either is turn it off. I don’t like my oil pressure dropping to zero every time I pull up to a light. Especially with a turbocharged engine.
  10. Diesel or Gasser... Which to order?

I know our diesel was more expensive but I LOVE it! The torque, the sound, and the fuel economy. It really is awesome!
  11. TPMS sensors updated on builds after 6/5/21

That sucks! Looks like I slipped under the wire by a couple months.
  12. Question first oil change.

I just rolled 3k so I’m not sure what this is worth. The manual says go by the % of oil life left. There’s no way I’d go to 10k miles with the break in oil. I’m planning on changing at 5k. Do the same with my diesel Silverado.
  13. Diesel or hybrid engine?

We love our diesel as well. I did 27.2mpg on a drive up to Michigan today. I’m pretty darn happy with that. The torque is addictive as well. Also, if it hasn’t been mentioned the engine is Italian. VM Motori is the manufacturer. The transmission for the diesel is a ZF.
  14. Gladiator 3l turbo diesel and Silverado 3l turbo diesel. I’ve got both so mini review.

Our normal Michigan trip. Rolled 3k miles. Hit 27.2mpg today. Averaged 26.5-27 all day. I’m very happy with that. It’s a mostly 2 lane drive so that’s at 62mph. If I push up to 80 on the short 4 lane sections the mileage drops to 26-ish. I‘m VERY happy with that. With 18.5 gallons of...
  15. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Finally had a “bottom out” on our HA Diesel. My wife had a green light through an intersection and she took it at speed. It had a nice ridge in the middle. Hit the bump stops. I’m honestly not surprised though.
  16. Is there any difference between JT or JKU Fox Rubicon shocks?

So there is a difference in the shock valving?
  17. Is there any difference between JT or JKU Fox Rubicon shocks?

Title pretty much says it all. Can I get Jeep Rubicon take-off shocks from pretty much anything and they are the same, or is there a difference between a Wrangler shock and a Gladiator? Thanks all.
  18. High Altitude Gladiator for highway use?

We've got a HA diesel and we use it on the road pretty much 100%. I will say that putting the Sound Assassin kit in from Hotheads made a HUGE difference in highway noise. It fits really nicely under the factory headliner. Is it as quiet as our Volvo was on the highway? Nope. It is livable...
  19. Gladiator 3l turbo diesel and Silverado 3l turbo diesel. I’ve got both so mini review.

We’re at 2700 miles on the Gladiator. Another trip to Michigan today. Got 26.2mpg average. Going up nicely as the engine breaks in.
