  1. Arches National Park

    Beautiful.
  2. Shaker siphons to transfer fuel

I'm sure many of you guys do this already but I'll put it out here for those who haven't. If you have jerry cans or rotopax up on your rack you can leave them in place and transfer your fuel with a siphon. I've had to tap into my jerry cans a few times and found it a bit of a pain to move them...
  3. Who makes this?? Rotopax embedded in side of bed

I think that Wayout gas can is badass. I went down that path for a while but it was just going to be too difficult to get the custom cans made. And they would need to be thinner (less holding capacity) than I wanted to not take up bed space. I ended up having some custom insets fabricated in...
  4. Who makes this?? Rotopax embedded in side of bed

That is a custom Jeep concept Gladiator called the Wayout. No vendors sell the necessary parts.
  5. How do you all keep from wanting??

    Because Gator.
  6. Holy Cross City - Gladiator on 37s, two Wranglers on 35s. How do they compare?

We were just on Ophir last week! Beautiful views. All the trails in that area are amazingly beautiful.
  7. Bogging down and won't downshift in 4 low

I can probably work around it by getting into a lower gear ahead of time, but that doesn't change the idea that the transmission should be able to downshift on it's own. It is an automatic after all. Doesn't seem right that I would have to stop completely and try to downshift after it gets...
  8. Bogging down and won't downshift in 4 low

In addition to the surging problems I am having in 4 low I also ran into issues trying to climb a steep mountain pass (Imogene). The Gladiator slowed down because the rpms were low. It was in 5th gear in 4 low. I tried to manually downshift the automatic but got a message saying that I could not...
  9. Holy Cross City - Gladiator on 37s, two Wranglers on 35s. How do they compare?

Interesting. I didn't notice it when we were there. Sure does look like one in the video. If someone can't get through the tippy tree they are going to have a tough time at the creek!
  10. Extra B pillar padding?

    I will look into that.
  11. Extra B pillar padding?

When we are on the trails and my wife is filming she ends up hitting her head on the B pillar as we bounce around. Has anyone added some extra padding to the B pillar on the passenger side? How did you do it?
  12. Gator Green build for Trips & Trails

Here is how it looks today at the top of Yankee Boy Basin.
  13. Holy Cross City - Gladiator on 37s, two Wranglers on 35s. How do they compare?

Thanks! They are quality built campers. Not inexpensive, but in general very well built compared to others in the industry. There are other good choices of course, but the 400 fit our needs well.
  14. Holy Cross City - Gladiator on 37s, two Wranglers on 35s. How do they compare?

I went with Artec aluminum skids. After replacing the factory steel gas tank skid with aluminum and adding in all the other pieces you only have a net gain of something like 15 lbs. And they have held up very well. It replaces the existing armor. I also had lower control arm skids welded in...
  15. Holy Cross City - Gladiator on 37s, two Wranglers on 35s. How do they compare?

It's a Tab 400 Boondock by NuCamp. The wrap is custom. Designed by my wife. Great little camper.
  16. Holy Cross City - Gladiator on 37s, two Wranglers on 35s. How do they compare?

We set out to do the trail on our own hoping that we would find a group to tag along with. Fortunately for us this group was staying in the same boondocking area. The day would have been a completely different experience without the expert help of a local spotting us. Not sure about where I was...
  17. Holy Cross City - Gladiator on 37s, two Wranglers on 35s. How do they compare?

Yes it is! They have proven to be extremely durable. Both sides have a bit of damage but they have taken pretty hard hits. This short vid shows some beating on them on Cliffhanger in Moab.
  18. Gator Green build for Trips & Trails

Just saw this! Yes, I ordered the driveshaft from Metalcloak along with the lift.
  19. Gator Green build for Trips & Trails

Unfortunately I didn't do the install of the lift (and spacers at the same time). You might try and call Metalcloak. I talked to them ahead of time about the spacers and they said it would be fine to use them. I didn't ask about control arm length since I wasn't doing it. They are quite helpful.
