  1. Gas mileage is concerning..

During the Summer months I avg 17-18 in town ... however I notice that about this time of year my mileage starts to drop. I'm not sure if it is because of a season fuel blend or if the computer is adjusting for the cooler temps. I have noticed this on my current JT and the same on my prior...
  2. Fender flares made of cheap material

That is bad .... Almost looks like focused sun damage. I have a utility trailer parked along the side of my house ... I noticed the wheel covers were degrading quickly and almost appeared melted. I finally figured out it was the suns reflection on our windows that was essentially frying the covers.
  3. 285/70r17s on stock wheels and no lift? (sport s)

285/70's will fit without issue ....
  4. Bought used Gladiator last night....2nd used Jeep product with 35 inch ridge grapplers

In my experience the Faulken MT's performed very well in snow ... in fact if I ever decided to go away from the Milestars I absolutely would go back to the Faulkens. One single reason to not run AT's is that they throw stones really bad on gravel roads. I have a friend running them now and that...
  5. 2024 Tacoma (4th gen) prototype breaks cover 📸

I go back and forth on the Taco. I do feel Toyotas are good trucks. My wheeling buddy has one and while he has it relatively built with Icon suspension and armor. It still struggles to keep up with the Gladiator. On a trail this past weekend he needed to utilize the electric aids and locker to...
  6. Worst Jeep Service Department

My guess ... they over torqued the filter cap and fractured the base housing. Why jeep made this part out of plastic is a mystery? ... or just boogered up the O-ring?
  7. Spacer Lift (to level) and Tires/Wheels on Max Tow

You'll need to take some measurements and decide where you want to be. If you are going to tow or do truck things I like to have at least 1/2" of rake. We tow a small 2k lb off road camper that has approx 200 lbs of tongue and I also added air bags to the springs. The Terraflex kit is nice as...
  8. Bought used Gladiator last night....2nd used Jeep product with 35 inch ridge grapplers

I've learned they like to run at a very specific pressure, which will differ between 35's and 37's (you cannot chaulk test Patagonias). I run this as a daily, weekend trail running, and towing. Daily and weekends I run about 32 psi ... towing I bump up to 36 psi .... so far they are performing...
  9. Off-road For Beginners…

... just saw this on YT.
  10. Off-road For Beginners…

... anything other than dirt roads, snow, etc you should use 4 LO ... and you need to be in N when going from 4HI to LO. Slightly rolling helps but not necessary.
  11. Dead Gladiator

Ditto .... more interested in cause and resolution
  12. Broken Swaybar Endlink (from Mopar Lift), no dealers "can" replace

Glad you got it resolved ... I totally understand your frustration. As I mentioned I was there. When I was told to see if I could source the part on my own as I might have a better connection for more parts I was dumbfounded. How can the dealer not source an actual Mopar part? It's one thing...
  13. Broken Swaybar Endlink (from Mopar Lift), no dealers "can" replace

I was in a similar situation regarding a Wheel Flare Kit. I upgraded to the High Rise Flare Kit and was in an accident this Spring damaging the driver side flare. The dealer kept responding that they could only get the flare as a complete kit. (It's a frigging Rubicon Fender Flare?) ... Someone...
  14. How many miles on factory Falkens before needing replaced?

MT's always get louder as they wear ... I always estimate 30k for MT's and 50k for AT's. Rotate Rotate Rotate!
  15. In ID we drive on Volcanos

Interesting place for sure .... I passed by there last year on my ADV bike. I want to hit Jordan Craters this Fall
  16. Jeep gives you nothing but heaches...

I get it ... it's frustrating. Whenever we order something new and shiney it's hard to wait. But really a first world problem. We just ordered my wife a Wrangler and we were told approx 12 weeks.
