  1. 2 inch Mopar lift for JTRD

My front axle was off center 1/4 inch in stock condition off the assembly line. With ANY lift you need an adjustable track bar.
  2. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

It goes 6,000 lbs. when we go riding/camping, and 8,300 lbs. when I haul my tractor in it.
  3. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

Just finished a 500 mile round trip towing at maximum capacity through the hills of Kentucky. I'm posting the video to the YouTube channel later today, but here are some highlights: - 500+ miles and only ONE particularly long hill warmed me up enough to derate power for about 1/2 mile. The...
  4. GDE is back and making EPA compliant tune!

I tow heavy with mine. The TCM programming is HORRIBLE. The trans constantly cycles between 5 and 6 repetitively on even the slightest hills. It also tries to keep the TC locked too often. I'm starting to think that the transmission tuning they'll offer will be 50% of the puzzle here. But 2...
  5. 'Retro' Graphics Option?

I'd love to know what those "3.0L Diesel" factory graphics that are in the order guide look like.
  6. Moving to 35s - what causes the most change - diameter OR weight?

Both. The diameter increases leverage against the driveline. The weight increases power demand for the same action. Both of them kill efficiency, braking distance, and acceleration. Over the last few decades what I've noticed is that the biggest hit comes from going away from stock tires to...
  7. 2022 Rumors?

Sure let's do it. That poll @JeepCares posted a couple of weeks ago asking for opinions on the interior console layout really got my attention. The current layout sucks. The t-case shifter is too high and my knee rests on it, the cubby hole is too small for anything except a pack of gum, the...
  8. "Lifetime", Lifeguard 8-9 Speed ATF (Is this semi-synthetic oil good "forever"??) 24k kms.

An important point to make is that "lifetime" means two different things depending upon who you ask. The OEs consider the lifetime of a vehicle to be 150,000 miles typically. If you look at what ZF recommends in their published materials, they spec a 60,000 mile fluid change for these...
  9. Gladiator Diesel Bottoming Out Poll - Let’s get some numbers here.

Good info. So now let's zero in on this question a little further.. did the Rubicon EcoDiesel Gladiators get the incorrect coils on the assembly line? I mean, it's not like a Rubicon weighs 400 lbs. more than a loaded Overland. There is actually very little difference in curb weight. You...
  10. What engine would you prefer? (Revised)

Just as long as we remember that the 36-56 range you're talking about is eMPG, which is not comparable to true MPG. When your friend is in ICE mode he's getting upper teens for mileage because it's the same 2.0T that was already in the Wrangler, but now it's saddled with 700 lbs. more weight...
  11. What engine would you prefer? (Revised)

I voted 392, but specifically I would want the truck version, not the fancy-pants SRT version. Dependability and simplicity is the goal here. The other options are too complicated and unreliable/unproven.
  12. Gladiator Diesel Bottoming Out Poll - Let’s get some numbers here.

I think more telling than trim level would be build date. I still wonder if the early batch of JT diesels rolled off the line with incorrect coil springs. I haven't seen anybody with recent new builds complaining.
  13. ESS delete question.

I wouldn't bet on that. My 3.6L gas JL with ESS had an issue with the system and ESS was disabled with the light on the dash. It took the dealership and engineers at Jeep 3-4 weeks to figure out how to make it work again. Now, I hand calculate my mileage with every fillup. Been doing that...
  14. Gladiator Diesel Bottoming Out Poll - Let’s get some numbers here.

Maybe more people are voting Rubicon because Jeep sells more Rubicons? Anyway I didn't vote because my Overland with lots of options (heavy pig) didn't bottom out at all in stock form. It actually rode like a Cadillac. I love it.
  15. 2022 Rumors?

So I'm guessing Silver Zynith is a brighter silver than Billet was? I actually loved Billet because it was darker and different.
  16. First Look - 2022 Jeep Gladiator (JT) ORDER GUIDE!! [Updated Monthly]

No, I think that's Altitude. A new trim based upon Sport. High Altitude is based upon Overland and can't have Max Tow.
  17. First Look - 2022 Jeep Gladiator (JT) ORDER GUIDE!! [Updated Monthly]

That's extremely interesting to me. The assumption has always been that all cloth seats are the same. I'd love to know more about this.
  18. First Look - 2022 Jeep Gladiator (JT) ORDER GUIDE!! [Updated Monthly]

I would like to know what "#1 Seat Cushion (C1A)" is exactly. Hmm...
  19. First Look - 2022 Jeep Gladiator (JT) ORDER GUIDE!! [Updated Monthly]

Exactly what I expected. Big price hikes. Thank God I went ahead and ordered a 21.
