  1. Coil spring part numbers

You have some great experimenting going on here. Nothing like first hand experience. Thanks for all the updates. As for your ride quality change, I test drove rubicons and sports several times right after another to feel the difference. Shocks aside, there is definitely a stiffer feel to...
  2. Recommended SERVICE dealers in NE area

Update for anyone in the southwestern CT area. SCAP's service dept in Fairfield was great. Took care of the issues and I was back on the road in a day or two.
  3. Gladiators on Mopar 2" Lift Kit

Well this is a new one to me. When you say "recalibrate" do you mean an actual alignment in addition to centering steering wheel? Does anyone else have info on this? I do my own work(the mechanical end anyways) but all this extra techy stuff is new to me.
  4. Anyone in here?

Anyone know of any legal trails closer to us than RC4x4? It's about 4 hours from where I am here in CT. Would love to throw together a green/blue run for us to meet up at, but would be easier if there were some spots a bit more centralized to the New England area.
  5. Anyone in here?

It took me three different dealerships before I was able to find one that diagnosed and replaced a bad pulley on mine. So yea, good luck with "dealer" and "best service" in the same sentence. They couldn't figure out something as easy as a bad pulley. It was singing like a banshee, took me...
  6. Gladiators on Mopar 2" Lift Kit

To everyone that has posted up pics and info, much appreciated....all the rigs in here look great!! I have a couple questions now that people are starting to see a year of driving on these Mopar kits. Can anyone chime in with info regarding either driveline vibrations, steering geometry...
  7. Gladiators on Mopar 2" Lift Kit

HA sounds about accurate for a stealership. That doesn't mean it's right though. I can do it with basic hand tools, on my cold cement floor overestimating 2 hours per corner. So if I can do it that way in 8 hours, i would expect a professional shop with the right tools and a lift to be able...
  8. Gladiators on Mopar 2" Lift Kit

Mostly a utility trailer (once or twice a month at most) that doesn't exceed 3 or 4,000lbs. and possibly a spring and fall trip to the track with my Camaro. Race weight is roughly 3,000lbs and I believe the trailer is around 2,000lbs....so maximum i'd ever see having to tow is around 5,000lbs...
  9. Gladiators on Mopar 2" Lift Kit

Almost identical to my jeep. Do you have more photos from different angles? Highly considering this lift. I've been told there are far superior lifts out there, such as metal cloak, however their lowest kit is 2.5 and i'm borderline thinking the mopar 2" is too tall as it is. I have 35's and...
  10. Scratching my head over complaints

I think it's a combination. Because forums are so easy to be part of, we hear a lot more of how great, or how awful something is. In my case, i still love my JT...however it has been surprisingly disappointing at the same time, and i'm doing everything i can to make sure the dealer irons out...
  11. Issues right out of the dealership parking lot

Just for laughs....they lubricated the bushings and torqued suspension components front and rear. Squeak remains. Can anyone else rock their truck back and forth and get a very loud and obvious creaking/squeaking noise as it rocks back and forth? I'm starting to worry that it may be something...
  12. 37 on sport s without lift

I gotcha, do you wheel at all? I can't say for sure on 37's, but my 35's were very close to rubbing during full flex on a recent off road trip I was on. And that's including 1.5" coil spacer up front and .75 in rear. It was the front that came very close to rubbing on the fender flares...
  13. 37 on sport s without lift

Where are you reading this garbage? I have a Sport S with the 4.10's. I went with 35's so I can still have SOME sort of towing and hauling performance. It is DEFINITELY noticeable, so I can only imagine how much worse a 37 is, let alone a 37 with 3:73's. But then again, i've been building...
  14. Anyone in here?

We have recovery points if anything happens prior to your bumper and winch arrival. Haha. It's well worth the 4 hour ride. Tons of fun.
  15. Issues right out of the dealership parking lot

Interesting stuff with these trucks. Glad to hear your vibes seemed to disappear. Maybe they did, or maybe you just happened to hit the point that my truck apparently recently hit. I have about 5500 on mine now. Including one trip to get beat on at Rausch creek. I can barely hear any...
  16. Anyone in here?

Looks like we are getting a bit more populated in here! I was invited to Rausch last week last minute by another group, so it was my JT's first time there. Did greens and a few blue's....I was highly impressed considering it's a bone stock sport S on 35's, with nothing but a simple 1.5" puck...
  17. Playing in the snow

Hahaha i was wondering if someone would ask about that. It was just a rushed pic because i was getting smacked by snowballs from niece and nephew. The JK is my sisters. The tree thing is a family tradition so even though we all live in different towns, we all meet and get our treeS from the...
  18. Playing in the snow

We're still in the switch from crappy warm air to nice crisp winter air here in CT, so I can only contribute ice (Jeepcicle?) and a smidge of snow when we brought the family Christmas tree home.
  19. Help with purchase decisions

I was VERY tempted to do this....got a quote for right around that same number for a bare bones Rubicon. Considering I will be off roading and snow wheeling, it was beyond tempting. But my Sport S was still under 38k so I figured i'd stick to the savings....there's always great resale value on...
  20. Help with purchase decisions

HAH This is a Jeep, there will be FAR more things to break before the power windows go. haha. I kid.....kind of. Not really. lol
