  1. Wicked rear passenger head impact!! Updated JL crash test. Where is the rear side curtain?

Great find... The "iT's RaTeD gOoD tHouGh" argument kind of crumbles when the literal data for rear passengers (what we've been talking about) is presented. The mental gymnastics in this thread...

  3. Car washing the Gladiator and transfer case

Do yourself a favor and buy Ryobi's $100 power washer. It's only 1600 psi/1.2 and even the 10 degree nozzle is safe for cars. Get the foamer attachment and some neutral based soap (Car Guys makes a good one) and you'll never have to worry about going to a car wash again. No mud will survive...

  8. Wicked rear passenger head impact!! Updated JL crash test. Where is the rear side curtain?

Lol you realize we're talking about airbags... those things that have existed since the 70s. Why does this one request get everyone's panties in a bunch? Wouldn't more people be inclined to buy these with improved safety ratings? What does Jeep have to lose?
  9. Wicked rear passenger head impact!! Updated JL crash test. Where is the rear side curtain?

I would be content with this argument if a video didn't exist depicting a pretty horrendous head bash. Considering the technology and modern engineering that exists today, there's no reason for rear-seated passengers to eat shit and suffer gnarly head trauma unnecessarily. It's a lazy argument...

  12. New IIHS Side Impact Tests

The video wouldn't work for me on the website. Here it is directly on YouTube: . Wrangler at 1:34. It doesn't look too pretty. Realistically these side impact collisions are going to happen at intersections with blown red lights and blown stop signs. Taking extra time will go a long way. I...
  13. New IIHS Side Impact Tests

As a new father myself, if anything ever happened to my child because of the decision to choose a hunk of metal over their safety I'd never forgive myself. You're about to find my entire truck for sale in the Members Marketplace lol
  14. Bed Cover Preference: Roll Up or Flip Up, and Why?

This Rough Country low-profile tri-fold is what I'm using. I live in Queens and don't have faith my fellow New Yorkers won't put a knife through my non-locking soft cover. If I didn't live somewhere so populated I would use an alternative that allows for full use of the bed (roll-up). My Ozark...

  18. Each Gladiator Trim's Use Case

It was a very underwhelming attempt by FCA. Ford set a decent standard with their hybrid F-150. People have gotten over 600 miles on a single tank.
  19. Good Bye Gladiator - Hello Grand Cherokee and Challenger

I had a 5.7L Challenger before my Gladiator. One of the best cars I've ever owned. Miss her :( Enjoy the AWD and the luxury of not throwing weights in your trunk lol
