I was thinking about Monroe or some Rancho 9000’s.
I’ll hang out for the comments and other recommendations, maybe there will be something new/interesting to try.
Hello,
I have a build plan, however, we are waiting to go full steam ahead….
For the time being- I have to change the rear factory shocks. I cannot stand the constant pogo bouncing anymore. They are fine around town at slow speed. However at highway speed every bump the rear end bounces-...
can we circle back to this??
Which is the oil in and which is the oil out?
I really think that you are hitting a point that’s being glasses over and could actually be an issue.
fluid is going to take the path of least resistance. So, for example if the “in” to the newly added oil cooler is...
Century/leer here.
If I could do it over again I would go with a go fast racing camper or an alucab.
Reasons? Weight handling, and material they are made of.
You are totally correct- rubicon diesel cannot have the full time 4wd, my apologies.
rubicon is only offered with the 4:1 transfer case. All others have the lesser reduction 2.73:1.
🍺👍🏼
If you build a rubicon gladiator diesel it will come standard with a “4:1 Rock-Trac Part-Time 4WD system”
it has the option for
“4:1 Rock-Trac FULL TIME 4wd system”
it will not come- even though the sticker shows it… with 4.10 axle gears…. (Left column shows 4.10– right shows the 3.73’s.)
Can you confirm the direction of flow?
mom assuming the “in” is the lower orfice and out is the upper…..
I’m not seeing how the current concept of utilizing the two bungs will allow oil to flow through an external cooler and still allow for proper oil filtration.
You have the components in...
Esh… I just figured with how far forward the rear axle sits, and how short the bed is, that once slid forward you really cut down on your box front to cab clearance for turning….. kind of negates the purpose.
Can the hitch really be placed directly over the axle, and have the frame tie points required?? I just don’t understand why….. these are toys and not haulers.
If you don’t need to tow very often I can see the logic in picking up a 1/2 ton truck. If you tow a lot you are beating the piss out of a 1/2 ton.
our next tow vehicle will be a 450/550 capacity for the simple fact that all of the wear and tear components are that much more overbuilt than...
Well done!!
You have most of my dream sheet for suspension- only thing missing is the RK 4 link rear. 🍺 (I greatly dislike how the factory 5 link rides……)
great build! 🍺
I think we are on the same page.
I do find it an interesting compounding factor- the transmission tunes from the factory limit torque in first and second gear. If they are limiting tq through the transmission- why compound it with the differential limitation as well?
🤷🏽♂️ At the end of the...
Personally I’m not worried about it- if the dealer is going to go down the road of whatever item (assuming transmission or motor) that the claim is being put in for; they are likely going to argue larger tires did the damage as much as the gearing…. 🤷🏽♂️ Sometimes it’s worth finding the dealer...
