Just a video I came across @ShadowsPapa thought you might find it interesting
  3. First problem - Oil leak

So...clutch plate, trailer brake controller availability, diesel engine problems, HVAC issues, what else they got going on at FCA. Still think it is an outstanding truck, relatively speaking
  4. Swaybar disconnects recommendation - i do not want to cut off the tab on the passenger side

This. And I think I posted what torque to tighten them down to when you put them on. A wrench, socket, and torque wrench set is always in my truck anyway so not a problem.
  5. Stock Jeep Support Group

What does that have to do with my post? I didn't talk about mud flaps
  6. Stock Jeep Support Group

For the same reasons in bold, I want to leave mine stock, for now. Mainly I love how the JT can get through spots without having giant tires sticking out. Stock to me is what COULD be achieved through buying factory and swapping out parts from other trims, and not changing the suspension or...
  7. 2020 Gladiator Mojave Review: For most buyers, the Mojave will make more sense than the Rubicon [Autoblog]

The only people who NEEDED to have their sway bars disconnected and lockers engaged on the trails I go on here in KY are the Toyotas
  8. 2020 Gladiator Mojave Review: For most buyers, the Mojave will make more sense than the Rubicon [Autoblog]

If I had to do it all over again I'd have to consider which would be the most important thing for me: reinforced frame of the Mojave, lockers of the Rubicon, or payload/towing of Sport Max Tow. You can always add lockers, but you can't as easily reinforce the frame (especially like factory) or...
  9. Why you SHOULD be able to tow more than sticker outside of the mountains

Like I said, outside of the mountains and probably on a cool day
  10. Tow package and Max tow package are NOT the same!

For the most part. In October and during the shutdown pickings were slim around here. I had to forgo the aux switch group and cargo management group. But the big things like hard top, max tow, and cold weather group were not things I or wife would do without
  11. Tow package and Max tow package are NOT the same!

I will try to post a picture of it later today. The numbers were not different from what was stated on my max tow. I cant be certain but I believe it was dealing with the changes to the combined gross weight of vehicle and trailer/load allowed. Now Im curious to see, I vaguely recall my owners...
  12. 12,000lbs winch

almost like they are made at the same factory in China.
  13. Tow package and Max tow package are NOT the same!

When you buy the jeep they send you a yellow or green card updating the numbers
  14. Tow package and Max tow package are NOT the same!

Yes, and that is why the stiffer progressive rear springs are a part of the tow rating
  15. Tow package and Max tow package are NOT the same!

probably based on the latest feature where it gives a tow rating based on vin see this thread https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/why-you-should-be-able-to-tow-more-than-sticker-outside-of-the-mountains.28052/
  16. Anyone remove and leave off the engine cover?

How bad is it for mud and dirt to get on top of what the cover covers? How hard is it to clean off? I get you can pressure wash the engine bay, but still want to keep some parts drier than others (ie alternator)
  17. Tow package and Max tow package are NOT the same!

Yes! Progressive and stiffer rear springs
  18. Tow package and Max tow package are NOT the same!

Wider axles, cooling, and alternator are the other big reasons for tow rating, limiting factor really being cooling. So no, adding 4.10 gears will not get you there. The tow package has the alternator and cooling system I believe, but you still dont have the wider axles
