Hutchison claims they're deadlocks to be street legal. I love mine but they certainly aren't light at 35lbs per wheel.

And yes... all beadlocks require more maintenance. I was checking the KMC XD231s on our JL...
The IronMan awnings/rooms only seem to be three sided. Roam makes rooms for their awnings but similar problem... four sides and a floor but not totally sealed at the top so issues with bugs.
I have the annex for my Roam Vagabond and it does seal completely and has a floor .. but I get your...
Do you have diagrams ?(!!!). .... Only ever been able to work it out based on the connectors.
I've added the actuators and the wiring harness in the tailgate but I'm missing wiring somewhere. XY511A was my next place to look and trace from. Unfortunately, my Gladiator is in the shop...
There is a forest road that runs most of the way which most of the big trucks take but the actual trail is only difficult unless it happens to be rutted out. The lake is a popular campsite in the summer so lots of traffic in the afternoons heading up the trail.
The second segment is pretty...
I'm interested depending on timing and certainly up for either a day run or something overnight.
I haven't run Naches in a couple years but pin-striping would be the worse I'd expect based on running it in a JKU and only if the trails haven't been cleared. Some of the other stuff in that...
Fyi .. if anybody only has the three wires and is looking to add the fourth, the Mopar kit to do so is 68347117AB. Basically, its a short harness that you route through the firewall on the passenger side, push in pins 5 & 7 on BCM Connector C1 and then you have the two lengths of wire to reach...
I can't tell you how happy I was to have the full harness already ... wonder when they started doing specific harnesses ?
My 2020 Sport had the full harnesses to the doors so for me it really was just replacing the guts inside the doors. But, I don't seem to have all the wiring to the rear...
That seems to be the case. Definitely isn't tied to the two "input" grounds on the power side of the BCM.
Yeah.. that's probably my last step before I break down and take the truck into the dealer and likely get the BCM replaced, which will lead to all sorts of nonsense with aftermarket...
As you suspected the "what" is the "sensor ground" wire. The "why" part still eludes me. From the hood switch side of things I'm seeing 14v (as expected) on the hood switch line but the sensor ground shows open. And I've tested both from the switch plug itself and from the connector to...
Pro tip (credit goes to @Northridge4x4 for the suggestion) .... use a little silicone on the bolts before trying to get them into those backing plates... I've pulled mine a couple times while putting on some rocker armor and it's so much easier....
Good advice of course. I’m running down the hood sensor since it’s the easiest to debug. I’ve got a decent multimeter but it’s been years since I’ve had to debug auto wiring. Normally I just replace a harnesses and call it a day.
And yes …. Building a full test harness has crossed my...
I pulled the plugs off the two hood switches and the temperature sensor ... good continuity between those three plugs and the XY103 plug. No sign of a short there. On the off chance it was the temperature sensor itself, Ieft that unplugged but the hood sensors are still throwing errors...
Yep... done that. No corrosion and the pins are well seated in the plugs.
It's because it's those three wires that I've been looking under the dash as well since all three run to the C4/D connector. The Sensor Ground (Pin 5) is shared with the Hood Ajar Switch and the AAT which made it...
Oh you didn't come off as stirring the pot at all. And yes, that is what I've been doing with the multimeter. I hadn't considered a short so wasn't specifically looking for it. Will need to pull the plugs and start retesting.
Getting at the C1/A and C4/D connectors at BCP is a pain in...
Oh......time for some searching. Of course, I've already spliced into the harnesses to bypass the ambient temp sensor wires. But as painful as it is to do, actually pulling the fuse box and getting a good look at the loom wouldn't be hard.. just time consuming. Maybe its a good...
Good point .... going to be a pain in the ass to find the short if it exists. That harness ends up being in the full body harness that runs along the back of the firewall and down through the passenger footwell.
in theory, if I have a short, I should be able to find continuity either to...
So..... AUX battery was replaced less than a year ago, I only have 6K on it and I keep the truck on a battery tender.
Randomly the hood ajar warning has shown up and the ambient temperature stopped working. Check Engine light is on and its throwing B181E-13 "hood ajar input circuit open" and...
I can't say enough good things about the JJUSA folks. They put on great events. BUT they are very popular and most sell out almost immediately. Most events will have a variety of trails ranging from basically forest roads to pretty serious trails that you need fully built out rigs to do...
