I have only used ram. Not opposed to others but they (ram) work for me in Jeep and boat applications. From cell phone to 12” screens in the boat. Then again, I’m a bit oF a brand follower, if it works.

This is very important!!!!! I did this very thing. Cost me many issues and $ including tow to dealership after shorting 100 amp fuse array.

I’m almost in the same boat. Changed aux battery and 3 days later lost everything after major dash flashes, wipers working without turned on, power windows jerking and then shut down at a traffic light in rush hour. Had to tow to dealership

Got towed to dealership after total loss of power while sitting at traffic light. Busy intersection, rush hour, etc, etc. 40’s may look cool but hard to push 😂 Assuming this is related to aux battery but unknown at this point.

I don’t think cost or brand matters as long as it is safe for your application. I use a roadmaster all terrain towbar, blue ox patriot brake, with direct connect roadmaster base plate. Also just use harbor freight magnetic lights for visibility. I’m on my 2nd set up like this on 2 different...

I had it to happen to the Jeep last night. Both cables, left and right, came out of the yoke. Pain to work in such a tight spot especially for a big guy But got them in and re tightened.

I’m not quite boon-docking or overlanding but I do enjoy glamping with my gladiator as the toad!
