Finished up the on board air system a week or two ago and install a fire extinguisher on the @813 Fabrication & Design rear under seat storage.

Not sure if this helps or not but I mounted mine on the front of the @813 Fabrication & Design under seat storage. I have the one with the Molle cut outs.

I wonder if any crash testing was done on this. 1/2 foam between 18 gauge steel and your head doesn’t sound very forgiving. That would be a hard pass from me.

I have the @813 Fabrication & Design under seat storage and there is more room to me. I can post a picture if you want. Plus if you get the Molle one you can attach stuff to the outside. I just mounted a fire extinguisher on mine. Plus, it's lockable.

I really didn't buy mine looking for a trade in the future I guess. I got it to upgrade it and make it what I wanted and then keep it until the wheels fall off lol or pass it to one of my kids. Everyone has a different path though and I agree prices are crazy. Maybe it will balance out eventually.
