I was gonna respond, and then I read the above.
AEV doesn't have "factory" vehicles. Neither does Black Widow. Or Shelby. Or Saleen. Or Roush. Not worth the effort to type out why this is because I'm thinking you must just be bored on a Saturday, but if your VIN shows up on the Stellantis...
You answered your own question about why shops don't mess with the engine. You yourself took a vehicle that is incredible at off-roading, added a bunch of AEV upgrades, threw it on tires that no other vehicle on the road can drive on, put a lift on it, and are now asking a shop why they aren't...
Can you explain to me why you want more power? Iāve driven Tacomas. Iāve driven Rangers. They have similar power, and have similar tow/payload ratings. Itās a midsize truck. If you want more power, why not just get a full size truck?
Iāve never once been anywhere in my gladiator where the power...
Somebody please help me understand-
Why is the cyber truck claiming 10,000+ ft/lbs of torque yet Jeep isn't claiming 1,140 ft/lbs of torque in the Rubicon? the rubicon has a 4:1 reduction gear, the cyber truck has 13:1 reduction gears on its motors. I don't see a difference in completely...
First, I think you would be absolutely bat-crap crazy to put $60k into a Gladiator Sport. If you buy it out and sell it, you aren't going to make some magical amount of money from a private seller- private buyers who have $30k+ to spend are going to head over to the countless dealerships that...
I heard the Mojave boots are coming out this summer- they are going to be significantly more comfortable for walking on concrete, be really slippery in front, and they are going to reinforce some part of the boot that only 1 in 10,000 owners will use in such a way that they will notice:)
I havenāt noticed any changes. I may take it in next week to have it looked at. Iām not overly concerned because I have another 27k on the warranty. Frankly Iām a little less concerned now that somebody else has the same issue, but thatās probably an irresponsible way to look at the situation.
I took this picture today. The part in question is in the center of the photo, with the bolt head on it, a boot on the right, and what appears to be wetness from oil on the piece directly to the left of that bolt head. This piece is where the steering column meets another part, and there seems...
Added Fishbone Offroad Tube Fenders front and back. The fender liners are on the way. I have to decide which ones I like the most prior to making that investment. I made the mistake of getting "Hawsksley wolf storms" on the cheap. I'm thinking about trying the Quadratec front fender liners- I...
I need one of you to come over to my place and punch me in the face about 3 times.
This time it was Hawkley "Wolfstorm" inner fender liners. I spent the big bucks on the Fishbone tube fenders, and cheaped out on the liners.
Just so you all save yourselves the trouble, they are hot garbage...
Gladiators have a 2,497lb base front weight on the gas rubicon. The FGAWR (Front Gross Axle Weight Rating) is 3,100lbs. Thatās only a 600lb difference. Doesnāt the weight of the plow + snow exceed that gross axle weight?
All of you Base Sport owners. Iām curious what you all do when you get them, and even more curious as to whether or not anyone has bought the Base with no intention of upgrading / modifying at all.
Thanks!
Have you ever dealt with big insurance claims? I do it all the time for my business. I made the mistake- once- of trying to manage a payout on my own.
After that first time, I lawyered up. And that Lawyer gets me more for one simple reason:
When attorneys work with attorneys, they start off...
This is the worst part of it all. Car insurance doesn't ever make you whole. Whether it's a brand new vehicle or a ten year old vehicle, insurance companies literally have entire departments filled with people whose job it is to make sure that your insurance company pays as little as possible...
For what itās worth, recall 19A prevents we Wrangler or Gladiator fans from purchasing any Wrangler or Gladiator with a manual. That means the actual lowest price you can drive out of a dealership for is $36,490 for the base 2-door Wrangler and $42,670 for a Gladiator until the manual stop sale...
EXACTLY.
This ties a bow around my comment that using "inflation" as some sort of apologetic answer ("simpin' for the manufacturers", as the young folks would say) is hogwash.
Inflation has nothing to do with it. It's bean counters at corporations determining that they are leaving money on...
This is the $100,000 question. Toyota charges $44k for the low-tier Supra. They charge $53k for the 3.0 premium.
Toyota has a very good mix of reasonably priced vehicles, with meaningful differences in low vs. high tier trim level pricing.
It won't surprise me one bit if the Trailhunter trim...
