  1. Looking for opinions on tonneau cover

I have the original hard tri-fold cover that Rugged Ridge put out. It looks just the the one you linked to, but the panel nearest the cab is fixed and doesn't fold up. I really like it. It's mostly watertight, looks good, and has held up nicely over the two years I've had it on. It is dead...
  2. Gladiator fuel overflowing.

I had the overflow problem with a vengeance on my 2020. I had the filler neck replaced under warranty. But even with the new filler neck, it will overflow if I don't hold full-on fuel delivery until it shuts off. Counterintuitively, trying to slow the fuel flow into the filler neck as the...
  3. Rear Defroster Issue

Thank you all for the replies! When I quizzed the service tech, he did confirm power and ground at the connector, and the recommendation of glass replacement was based on this and checking the resistance of the heating element in the glass. Keeping an eye open for a used HT had occurred to me...
  4. Rear Defroster Issue

I bought my 2020 JT used, and I spend a lot of time in warmer climates. After the warranty expired, I discovered that although the rear defroster button lights when I push it, nothing happens with the glass. I checked the fuse and the connections to the heating element, and they were good. I...
  5. Trim Restore RUINED Taillight Housing?

If no one steps up and offers you replacement parts, you might try a product like Forever Black to get those housings back towards black and somewhat evened out. I've had good luck using it on some fairly bleached out hard tops and other black trim pieces. It's basically a dye, but it is...
  6. Key Fob issue

I had the same thing happen with the fob on my 2020 a few years ago. The first signs of the battery going were as you describe when the fob spent an hour or two out in the cold in a backpack. This may sound over the top, but if the truck is under warranty, I'd have the dealer replace the...
  7. Alpine soundbar upgrade advice.

Quoting Hockeydad55: "Your first post said you had the alpine premium system. If you have the 7” display that is the bass system and it is 4 ohm with a smaller amp less channels and no sub. The 8.4“ has the alpine premium system and yes different amp and sub." Depending on the year of your...
  8. Sunrider top year round?

As far as hardware removal, just 6 Torx bolts and the plastic clamp that holds the SR frame to the back part of the hardtop. Despite what other people have said here, I usually find a helper to lift it on and off. It is less heavy than just awkward. The one time I tried doing it myself I...
  9. U bought exact trim wanted, what’s first 10mods

Sunrider for hard top, though in IL, that can wait for the spring...
  10. Recommendations on a backseat dog hammock

I have this version of the 4Knines in Regular: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DQFZGZ0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 You can use the front hammock part or just tuck it away under the rear seats. I also have the matching door protectors. My only complaint is that...
  11. My co-workers are asking "what are them ducks for in jeeps"

I got ducked for the first time a couple of days ago, but in my 94 YJ. It would look stock to someone who doesn't know YJs well. (It actually has a mild suspension lift, shackles and urethane bushings that can be greased, lowered transfer case, Yukon 3.73 gears, sway bar disconnects, Edelbrock...
  12. Max Tow owners… what are you towing?

Primarily a lightweight horse trailer (Brenderup) with one horse; sometimes a 5x8 with one motorcycle. Not more than 3500# so far, but through the mountains of Eastern TN and Western NC. It's a great rig for those purposes!
  13. Does Jeep Cares, really care?

The one time I contacted Jeep Cares, they were of no help at all. I replaced a fob battery, quite carefully, and when I reassembled the fob, there was a gap. For more on this issue, see the 7 page thread here called "Key Fob Issue and Its Not the Size." The truck was still under factory...
  14. North Carolina Rubicon Takeoff Fox Shocks - $60

Do you ever get over in the direction of Boone for anything, by any chance? And these are the stock length Rubicon shocks, yes?
  15. North Carolina Rubicon Takeoff Fox Shocks - $60

Are these still available, by any chance?
  16. Virginia CALTREND Rear Seat Cover

Just noticed in your sig line that you had a Mojave; unfortunately, your rear seat looks different than the one in my Sport S. But thanks, anyways.
  17. Virginia CALTREND Rear Seat Cover

Can you confirm these are the black/charcoal, not the black/light gray? I ask because if I bought these, I'd order a front set from Caltrend and I wouldn't want a mismatch...
  18. Factory Falken MT @51K, just changed to BFG AT KO2

I have E range BFG AT KO 285/75/17s on my truck, and they weigh 2# less new than the slightly smaller Falken Wildpeak MT01 285/70/17s that can be had on many Gladiators, at least going by published specs. I think the BFG AT KOs are generally just a lighter tire than the Falken MT01s.
  19. Potentially joining the Jeep family

I have a 2020 Sport S (Max Tow), and I tow a Brenderup horse trailer with a single Quarter Horse to and around the mountains of Western N. Carolina fairly regularly. Loaded with the horse, the HT weighs in at about 3300#. I use a WD hitch and trailer brakes, and the rig is stable and...
  20. Please Critique my New Gladiator Configuration

I don't have SelecTrac (full-time 4WD option) on my 2020 Gladiator (wasn't available in 2020, and I bought used), but I had it on my long-time Cherokee XJ. That is the one thing that I would have added if I could have. I don't think it costs much ($595?), but it is awesome to have when you are...
