The GPEC 5 version was used due to supply issues. It is the newer version of the ECU but is backwards compatible. 2a and 5 were used based on what they had.

These weights are usually underreported.
I am running into this same issue looking at trailers, My Rubicon has a max tongue weight of 700lbs. And I dont intend on running it that high.

Agreed, i think the length of this beast is part of the issue. I use the parking lines for the spot in front of the vehicle for reference when backing in.
