  1. Has anyone disabled telematics / LTE and GPS antennas?

Winner, winner. You hit the nail on the head. Your couple of sentences summed things up perfectly!
  2. Has anyone disabled telematics / LTE and GPS antennas?

I thought I made a comment about consent, but realize I didn't. You are correct that many agreements in all industries, consumers knowingly (read and understand the fine print upon signing something or clicking 'agree to all') or unknowingly are consenting to data collection. However...
  3. Has anyone disabled telematics / LTE and GPS antennas?

You are 1000% incorrect. Think beyond Insurance or Car maunafacterres. Do you think, google, apple, fb, cell carriers, government and tons more businesses foreign and domestic don't have info about us or the ability to attain it. Do you think a warrant was ever used (excluding court or law...
  4. Has anyone disabled telematics / LTE and GPS antennas?

You and some others have completely missed the point of what @dcmdon was making. His example had nothing to do with being honest or dishonest or hiding something from an insurance agency. That was an example he chose to use. The point he was making was the invasion of "PRIVACY" and the fact...
  5. Thoughts from a new Gladiator (and Jeep) owner after a 1100 mile drive home.

I think Android Auto works extremely will in the Gladiator. Some of the software updates to android auto also helped with some of the quirks. My suggestion would be first and foremost to customize android auto on your smart device. When inputting an address I find the most convenient way to...
  6. Stop/Start Not Ready-Battery Charging

I don't think that is indicative of there being an issue with the system. If you are running the heat/cooling system this tends to happen especially in winter. It does take a while for the system to charge back up (based on conditions) but unless you are seeing a code or fault indicator the aux...
  7. Okay which one of us is this? Bad driver, language warning

I'm a motorcyclists and in this instance the motorcyclists is in the wrong. Listen to the video. What do you hear happening first. Oh, the motorcyclists revving the engine. Meaning pulling in the clutch (disengaging gear) and hitting the throttle as a way to alert the driver 'hey I'm here don't...
  8. SiriusXM sucks on 2021 Jeep Gladiator.

Canā€t say Iā€™ve witnessed any worse performance with satellite radio operation compared to my other two vehicles. I use Sirius religiously and the only cutout is when I lose line of sight in specific areas which is the case with all my vehicles. Other than that itā€™s pretty solid for me.
  9. Insurance discount because of advanced safety package?

The feature is cool but the braking and acceleration is too aggressive and can definitely make you nervous. There is nothing gradual about the braking when someone cuts into your space (sometimes feels like the system is going to bring you to a complete stop!!) and the re-acceleration can be...
  10. Who else is happy with the Pentastar?

Absolutely agree with you. What I mean by ā€˜a bit more fuel efficientā€™ is, give me the MPG that is on the sticker (19 combined 17 city 22 highway). Those numbers are based on the styling and dimensions of the vehicle.
  11. Who else is happy with the Pentastar?

Iā€™m extremely pleased with the Pentastar engine. It delivers enough power without being underpowered, itā€™s reliable, smooth when paired w/8spd and plenty capable for towing. That all said I think the engine should be a bit more fuel efficient but the Gladiator is a heavy truck for the size.
  12. How long have you owned your Gladiator? Still Love it?

I went with the Launch Edition never previously owning a Jeep product and only seeing pictures of the Gladiator. It arrived June 2019 and I have to admit it looked better in person than in pictures. So far my only issue was the rear glass which was replaced due to leaking. My steering was...
  13. Sport S vs Rubicon

cooling (trailer tow), brakes (standard), axles (standard), alternator (trailer tow) can all be found on a Rubicon as standard equipment or as part of the $400 trailer tow option.
  14. Sport S vs Rubicon

Max Tow OPTION only available on the Sport models is correct. HOWEVER the max tow equipment is either STANDARD on the Rubicon and the other couple of items are added on the $400 trailer tow package. So there is nothing in the Max Tow that isnā€™t or cannot be equipped on the Rubicon trim...
  15. Factory Spray In Bed liner no longer available???

I have to agree. The factory did a great job with the spray in bedliner.
  16. Can you build a better Jeep and save money by starting with a Sport S?

I really donā€™t understand why there is so many comparisonā€™s to Rubicon versus a different trim. People do overstate the price difference between trims and understate the cost of doing a bunch of aftermarket stuff to make a vehicle similar to a rubicon. But that is just life. Iā€™m going to put...
  17. Auxiliary LED Reverse Lights (Integrated Rear Bumper)

Yup I had to jump in on this deal!
  18. Going to Buy Again In December 2021

Pound for pound there is less than a 4K difference between the Overland and Rubicon. Iā€™d say there were some boxes checked on the Rubi that werenā€™t on the Overland.
  19. Max Tow Package Unofficial Model Name

What's in a name? The name is Sport or Sport S depending on which trim you purchased and added the MT package too for around $1,000K. The package contents are not unique. The Rubicon, as standard equipment, has what the Sport/Sport S offer as an option in the MT package. The couple/few...
