I'll mention that you should NOT use 4auto on loose off-road surfaces as the clutches can overheat. Jeep recommends shifting to 4hi instead so that the clutches lock up and stay connected.
We keep our 4xe in 4a always as its the only way to get full torque and HP output on it. If not you get...
Anything pre-24(I don't know when the switch specifically was but my dad's new 23 was u joints)that didn't have full-time 4wd transfer case had u-joints.
So much this, it's like people forgot how buying a car worked pre-2022. I remember expecting a minimum of 10% off any new car and on trucks 15% was the usual starting point for negotions and that was just business as usual, not during an economic dump.
The issue with cars is the same as houses...
Where its bending isnt really einforced on the mojave. The mojave got some additional welding in the rear, not actual extra plate or thickness. This is bending the actual frame which is the same there.
That said, I still doubt this is being bent from normal wear and tear and is more of the go...
I dont care about EV range, I just want the higher HP and Torque, especially if it comes in yellow (real hella'yella, not pastel highlighter low velocity yellow)
Most likely one tire is slightly out of balance and it was in the rear before. Now its upfront so you will notice it more. I've also noticed the first 750ish miles after a rotation everything feels slightly off as the tires wear in to their new positions and knock off the high spots.
Its a packaging and cooling problem. Its longer than the 392 and has higher cooling requirements with the turbos. Its just easier to stuff the V8's in than the hurricane and the cost is about the same.
Tires don't really have 10 or 12 plys anymore just load ranges. You can run whatever load ranges you want on these, just make sure you set the pressure right with a chalk test. Higher load range you go, slightly worse ride you will have.
I tow on 39's and 5.13's with the 3.6. The camper at about 4500-4800 pounds tows fine. It does 60-65 on the highway no issues (and at a decent 10ish mpgs even). It does have to work for it and in the mountains of tennessee it was not overly happy. There was a 8.5% grade we went up that I could...
Good riddance. The biggest problem was they saw the JL as the next G-Wagon or Range Rover instead of the working man's off roader like it used to be. Hopefully now the prices can come down a bit or at least remain relatively flat until inflation catches up and jeep regains some semblance of value.
I wont speak to the quality of the parts, RC has a fairly justified reputation, but to each their own.
So still should just need a trackbar and some kind of caster correction. I'd ask for a break down of what they're giving, you what brand, and how much. If you arent changing tie rod or adding...
Seems expensive to me, but I do all my own work and I piece together all my own stuff to get exactly what I want. For a 2.5 inch level (which will probably actually have you squat a bit as thats a big level) though, you really just need the front pucks, a track bar for centering and some drop...
I used to use these in my FJ Cruiser, they're much better than stock but I had to replace them somewhat frequently as well. Enough that I kept a spare in the car.
I did pretty good, Helene didn't do anything to me, and Milton knocked out power for a few days but the propane held out for the generator so no worse for wear. My parents house got 3 feet of water from Helene though so it's been a lot of work gutting and fixing.
Truck actually does ok on the...
People care too much about load range when it comes to ride. These aren't 2-3k pound jeeps anymore, they're 5-6.5k pound vehicles so if you set the pressure right for the load they'll ride fine.
Ive found it's more the brand of tire that matters than the actual load range and even switching...
