  1. W.T.F.D.I.G.M.I - Turning my daily drive into a trail rig.

Got an interesting trade offer for my take off OEM bed - Back to tightening fasteners, tailgate is next!! Did the bed go away for said offer? I'd take the trade, have a pew is more fun than just having something take up space
  2. Winter Storm Jan 6-7 2025 Post Pics Here!

The only white stuff falling from the sky in Los Angeles for me so far seems to be ashes. On good news Big Bear seems to finally have some snow to mess around with. It's about time I can go camping in the snow.
  3. Do Gladiators Ride Smoother Than Wranglers?

Ride quality is subjective so go test drive a gladiator and find out.
  4. Does anyone make an aftermarket "built" wide - Gladiator Rubicon M220 axle?

For the rears they don't have a 44. Guess the market for a built rear 44 isn't that big. Semi float is going to be weaker than an equivalent full floater but it's hard to justify the price jump to full float for many people.
  5. Does anyone make an aftermarket "built" wide - Gladiator Rubicon M220 axle?

Fusion 4x4 offers a built dana 44 or a semi floater dana 60 for a bit more coin. The 44 comes in 66.5" (non wide track) or 68" (wide track/rubicon) widths. The 60 comes in 68" or 72" widths
  6. Fox Shocks Terrible Service

You can drive around town missing a shock if you need to get around. I was driving around for a week missing a shock. I can’t help with the ruined shock issue though
  7. Diesel cooling options and ideas

My hood vents have done nothing noticeable except look kinda cool at red lights since you can see the hot air getting pushed out from the fan.
  8. Black and Gold from Metalcloak

I can finally drive around without a missing rear shock. Instal is as annoying as any other shock due to my laziness to jack up the car. 9/16" hardware does work with the shocks but it's probably better to stick with the oem metric hardware. Now it's time to drive it.
  9. Armorlite in the hot states

Socal ain't as hot as Phoenix but I haven't noticed any real heat from the floor due to armorlite. Then again I wear shoes or boots never anything else
  10. The Weak Link

That's what my mother tells me
  11. The Weak Link

I'd buy them again, I liked them. I just like trying new stuff
  12. The Weak Link

Breaking stuff is a natural born skill I've been blessed with
  13. The Weak Link

    Threads tore out
  14. The Weak Link

@arosen1997 seems to be a winner since that bracket has a nice bend on one side.
  15. The Weak Link

Haven't contacted them, drove back home and just knocked out cause digging is tiring
  16. The Weak Link

Limit straps have always been in the plans, they just never left the planning stage as I'm constantly tweaking and adjusting parts
  17. The Weak Link

Definitely a possibility, just hard to believe it only hit the bracket. I don't remember seeing damage on the lower part of the silver bit yesterday. More pictures later when I do my full inspection.
  18. The Weak Link

The threads definitely were in all the way before the incident (as far as I know). There was never exposed thread when I got them, after this happened so I saw a bit of green loctite on the shafts that they put on when the shock was made (irrelevant but interesting).
  19. The Weak Link

37" mickey thompson baja boss at 3.5" clayton offroad lift 1.5" teraflex spacer in rear only Going through the desert at about 20-40 mph (nothing it hasn't done before) and I assume the tire hit a rock at speed? This caused the threaded rod to rip out from the axle mount bit which is now smooth...
  20. The Weak Link

Upgrade one thing to be stronger just to make something new the weak point. Guess I've found my current weak point. Gonna order the rock sport blacks just for the rears from @Metalcloak Also need to get 2 new tires as the shock stabbed a hole in my sidewall and another tire has a cut in it now.
