  1. Thread and pitch for bed rail mounts

Do you have a spray-in bedliner? Is so, you will likely need to clear some of it from the entrance edge of the holes. I found it to be tedious work just to get a tap started on the holes. The holes are definitely 6mm x 1.0.
  2. PSA on Car Washes

I have never been back to an automated car wash since 2005 when they damaged my then new 2005 Dodge Ram Cummins. I am lucky.....I am retired, so I have the time to hand wash and I set up my climate controlled garage to have a wash bay. It is never too hot or too cold outside to wash my...
  3. Side steps

I picked up a set of the Mopar plastic side steps a few weeks ago for $100 off of FB Marketplace. Locally there were a few sets to select from. I used the plastic rails to replace the Rubi rails. So far I am happy with them.
  4. Well it finally happened… RIP OEM batteries

Here is a post I made about using the trailer plug as access for charging the batteries. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/permanent-mount-battery-tender.63631/post-1182008

  8. Dielectric grease on door seals

Another vote for the Honda Silicone Grease. I used it on my '14 JK seals when new and it never had a leak with the Freedom panels or doors for 9 years.
  9. Replacing Factory Side Step w/ Rock Rails?

I just did the opposite. I installed a set of High Altitude side steps on my Rubi. I picked them up on Marketplace for $100. Yes, the switch over is very straight forward. It is the same mounting hardware for both. Before And After I also added Weathertech front mud flaps which are...
  10. Don't pamper it like I used to...... Do You?

My '23 Rubi turned 1 year old on June 15. To mark the occasion, I washed it on Friday, waxed it on Saturday and cleaned the interior on Sunday. Last wash was some time in February. In my defense, the JT never sees winter salt. That is what the '88 YJ is for. Washing included a thorough...
  11. Rant on Buying a Torque Wrench: How Frustrating!

Still have mine also. I probably purchased this one in the early 80s.
  12. Rant on Buying a Torque Wrench: How Frustrating!

Yeah, I hear you. Thanks for the clarification on wear items! I was disappointed that Snap-On would not calibrate, or if necessary, repair the wrenches. I was operating under the assumption that Snap-On stands behind their tools for a lifetime. I didn't know that their torque wrenches were...
  13. Rant on Buying a Torque Wrench: How Frustrating!

Thank you, Good Sir! I will get a quote from JM and see what they can do.
  14. Rant on Buying a Torque Wrench: How Frustrating!

I have been purchasing tools since high school in the early seventies. I have used them strictly for home mechanic use and I still have just about every tool I have ever purchased. I was a Craftsman kind of guy unless I couldn't get a particular item from Craftsman. That stopped immediately...
  15. Oil in PCV make up air tube

Quite frankly this is the most stress-free automotive forum I have had the pleasure of participating in. To see a valued contributor like Kevin respond to another valued contributor (Bill) in this fashion did not sit right with me. I am not a keyboard tough guy. However, I felt that I needed...
  16. Oil in PCV make up air tube

You didn't answer my question. Please advise when it suits you. In the meantime, I can only assume why you chose to post what you did.
  17. Oil in PCV make up air tube

I am not in agreement with your post here. Why would you berate the poster when he is describing the detailed operation of the PCV system?
  18. What can we do for you?

This is a kit that AllMoparParts sells. Here is the link: Genuine Mopar Bed Outlet Kit 115 Volt - BEDOUTLETKITJT20 | All Mopar Parts
  19. "Roof load capacity"

From the Owners Manual Page 107 (for 2023) NOTE: Roof rack applications are for Hard Top models ONLY. The Roof Luggage Rack is designed to allow for carrying an additional cargo load on vehicles equipped with a Hard Top. The load carried on the roof, when equipped with a luggage rack, must not...
  20. Passanger side OEM HALO/DRL. 2023 jeep gladiator, desiel.

If you have a Diesel, the answer is contained within this thread. The Diesels require the jumper wire described below whereas the newer gassers do not need the jumper. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/install-of-new-oem-mopar-led-light-system-package.74645/
