ahh, missed that. I have the RR Voyager soft top for the summer and swap between the two. I had the same concern and ended up just leaving the rear unattached all summer. I had the top open most of the time any way. That 3m tape all the cameras come with would not play well with a plastic window...
I have the Thinkware FA200 with front and rear. Hardwired to the aux cables under the pass dash for both power and battery power. I just leave the rear off in the summer when I have the hard top off or the soft top on...
I have the 8.4 alpine and kept it. It's only powering the top dash speakers. The soundbar and knee speakers are being run off that small kicker 50x4 amp. It's much better and I used JL c2 speakers all around. Still not quite as loud as I'd like but you can at least hear things when naked on the...
I have the RR HD Stubby. Love it for all the reasons already mentioned but will add, mine rusted within two years. I live in PA so not the friendliest weather for steel parts. RR was great about the warranty replacement. I'm replacing my winch in a few weeks and plan to take the bumper off and...
I went through the same decision process and ended up with the Salta Xrs. They are slightly heavier but with 37's, I don't think it matters at that point. I've had them on for four years and they still clean up great. Method didn't have the same sizing available as AEV when I got mine so it made...
I ended up with the Superwinch SX12, less than thrilled with it after a year and a half. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/issue-with-superwinch-sx12sr.85137/
Updated my post, meant VR not Zeon... The paint near the top I wasn't happy about but understood. I'm worried about the bubbles forming under the bolt holding the motor assembly on to the unit.
I installed this winch in 2022 and after washing the truck a few days ago, noticed how badly the paint is peeling. As I looked at it closer, it seems there is rust forming under the paint in some areas. The 2nd pic is one of the bolts that holds the motor assembly to the unit. My truck is garage...
I wired the backlight on mine (on the pilar) to the oem aux switch that also controls my rock lights. I have 8 KC rocks lights under the truck in amber. It looks great. I was actually debating switching my KC Slimlights on my bumper to the FE4s purely for the looks (and I guess the increased...
I think I'm going to skip this for the time being. Still seems so half baked, why is there a software component to something purely mechanical. They should have redesigned a better clutch.
I'd vote for the Rain Gear cover, works with any configuration of Doors/Roof on/off. Has a nice bag and secures perfectly to the truck. It's a much nicer material than the amazon specials... not sure how it compares to the mopar one.
I was in the same boat and ended up with the voyager soft top. Take a look at my posts for a detailed review. it's functional if you understand what you're getting. If you want an oem fit/seal get the oem.
Can you take the straps completely off and put the channel in first? It's hard to describe but there's a plastic lip that bits into the truck belt line. for the side pieces, I have to kinda coax it into the slot.
