Here's something they CAN do with a software update and everyone would LOVE it:
An AP in the dash screen that re-calibrates mph etc based on wheel size. YOU enter your new wheel size after installing bigger tires and it adjusts odometer, mpg mph etc...without having to go to dealership...
When we got our Gladiator my wife found out about the duck thing and was like āWeāre doing that!ā I replied āCorrection - YOU are doing thatā¦but not when Iām drivingā Fun fact - itās a stick shift and she wonāt learn to drive a manual.
I am seeing LOTS of rubicon take off springs and shocks in my local FB marketplace. For around 2-300.
Who has done this type of swap and was it a noticeable improvement to your original suspension?
Iām curious about 12.5 because thatās the easiest to find and they seem cheaper. Iām not finding more narrow tires and when I do they seem to be more expensive
Is 12.5 too wide for the stock 7.5 wide wheels? I am looking to run 35s.
What are others experience with 12.5 wide wheels on stock sport wheels?
Thank you in advance-
For me, itās one thing and one thing only: its a convertible ātruckā with remove able doors. Thatās the only reason I bought mine. I live in Southern California and flipping the cloth top back and cruising under sunny skies to the beach is just next level.
Every other midsize truck is better...
