Zion national park, Utah trip day one. Left smidge after 6:30 am from Bakersfield. Arrived at Watchman campground a bit before 5 pm (mountain time so lost an hour). Averaged 18.8 mpg. Not bad considering all the elevation changeā¦ and the ethanol content in all the gas I have been getting.
Boy they do a proper job of fit and finish. Even if it added nothing performance wise it looks great ? Looking forward to hearing how it is working out ?
While I havenāt used their radiator I can offer up the following.
I did a mishimoto intercooler on my 2014 GTI it is a solid made unit that performs far better than the stock one. Results were lower overall temps and a slower climb to peak temps. Believe it added a few pounds nothing major.

Another vote for totally possible. Similar mods. I have seen just over 19 on longer trips. I have also see around 17.5 just depends on how I drive it and which was the wind is blowing.
Replacement bar came for my rack which meant I could install this table bracket.
Holds the folding table perfect obviously desgined for this exact model ?
My hitch took numerous beat downs running Moab trails. Really though any non-trivial trail I seem to be dragging it a lot. My advice skids or other protection is take it slow. That rear sticks out a long ways and can really come down hard even taking it easy.
I feel the āweightā of what you are saying. All that armor adds up quick. I have been looking at what I can remove from the JT to bring weight down. On the docket to tear out all the spare tire stuff which will bring me down about ten pounds. The towing hitch and gear are possibly going soon...

Also I got the rest of hardware needed and tightened it all down on...
Agree with all your points. Stock bars are much too rigid to allow articulation needed on rough stuff.
I have run quite a few options on the Gladiator including no bars, no rear and front bar, rear/no rear with front discos. Now running antirocks front and back. After years of crawling stuff my...
Swaybar disconnects. Likely a contentious topic but me personally I donāt like em. I have bought into the less is more camp that expouse better to have some swaybar front and back. There are a good deal of options these days. Discos just feel like old tech.
Will throw in the ARB Linx as a possible match. Been running it for over a year. Has its own little screen that is easy to mount on the pillar. Zero issues with pairing or the like. Essentially has worked like physical switches but can be programmed to do things. Eg I have my KC floods up front...
Ya exactly. I mean Coachella music festival just went down here in CA and there were plenty of arrests and other incidents. On that note they are much more relaxed at citing folks at an event like that. In Galveston they are gonna be much more proactive, especially something unofficial. Frankly...
