I don't see a lot of posts about this type of battery tech used in Gladiators. So thought I'd make my Gladiator a guinea pig.
For context...
- I live in the San Francisco Bay Area where it doesn't get HOT or COLD
- My Gladiator is parked in a condo parking garage
- Prior to the battery swap...
But mine actually works to keep my main battery topped off.
I daily drive my Glad a total of 6 miles round trip and as expected those 6 miles is barely a drop in the bucket to keep my main battery optimally charged. Since installing, the voltage is steady at 12.7V @ IDLE!!! I'd be lucky to have...
I plan to repurpose the factory tire carrier for on-board air compressor and tank. I need to relocate the spare tire to the bed.
Is it better to tie down the spare closer to the cab or to the tailgate?
The Pro Eagle is cool but not as cool as O'Reilly's 3 Ton Tank Jack

Gave it a try and it definitely sucked but it left about a 1/2 cup of oil in the pan. Not a negative in my opinion, I do oil changes more often than most. The big thumbs down on this particular extractor is it leaks at the inlet/outlet fitting when I tried to dispense the used oil into a recycle...
Just waiting on the air chucks
This is my 3rd build and went with recoil lines this time because I feel conventional flex lines take more time to deploy and stow away.
Since getting my JT ceramic coated I've been researching water deionizers. I really like the thought of washing, rinsing, and walking away.
What water deionizers do you guys use?
... you fill the reservoir with just distilled water?
I assume the sensor is a simple conductive sensor. And since distilled water has no dissolved minerals, the sensor can't conduct a charge thought it.
