  1. Flat Towing

Transfer case, u joints, differential, wheel bearings shocks/struts/bushings.
  2. Flat Towing

Shifting the tx case to N decouples the input shaft and the output shaft. The front axle disconnect is an electrical servo or solenoid of some sort. I'm sure it looks for the signal to be in 4H/L and connects the axle.
  3. Flat Towing

I don't know for sure.. I would think it stays disconnected and only becomes connected when its in 4wd. Should be easy enough to find out by crawling under the car.
  4. Flat Towing

Neutral transmission or neutral transfer case? Either way, I don't know, but I do know you dont want to leave an automatic in neutral no matter what happens.
  5. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Make sure you get that handled before you get 12000 miles on the car. *and* make sure they document it on the RO. If they come back and say we adjusted this or that, take it and see how it is, ask for it to be documented.

    150 for all 3?
  9. 8 Speed Behavior

The fact that its better than in the JK, is a huge relief. I have a buddy with a JK, and I have to say - it sucks on every level. I think besides the engine, they have the JT pretty much perfect.
  10. Is it easy to steal a Jeep?

just park it at a Trump rally with a Biden sticker on it.
  11. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Do you have a tracker? How long was the exposure (of the sky)?
  12. 8 Speed Behavior

Yeah, I would rather have a manual myself. Specially considering the reverse gear. But, if I use it on longer trips and have my wife drive, I'm thinking left foot braking over rocks might be better for her.
  13. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

    How many exposures?
  14. Overland owners who switched to 35 & 37 tires

    Sounds good to me.
  15. Overland owners who switched to 35 & 37 tires

So from 2700 to 5700 the turbo makes more tq than the 3.6 and it's a worse engine? I'm not arguing, I'm more or less curious as to the thinking behind it. Modern turbos don't have lag and don't any lag.
  16. Overland owners who switched to 35 & 37 tires

i said the 4.0 peaks - not drops off. the point that I was trying to make is that our engine torque peaks at 4800 which is totally unsuitable. I wasnt arguing about peak numbers and which makes more etc. just saying the 4.0 was more suitable in character than the 3.6, thats all. Looking at...
  17. Overland owners who switched to 35 & 37 tires

What are you trying to say? LOL hardly? if you have something to say, say it. stop being a passive aggressive. not sure what your angle is on this but it is totally obvious that the engine characteristics of the 3.6 are not ideal for low speed rock climbing - the kind of driving most of us...
  18. Tire Weight & Performance

I believe that.. I"m just wondering how much weight you would gain keeping the stock rims? I posted a thread somewhere looking for the lightest tires. I think the KO2's came in the lightest. I myself am going with 35x10.5 in the beginning and later to 37's with 4.88s
  19. 8 Speed Behavior

I'm not arguing what you were saying earlier.. I have noticed that transmissions behave differently based on coolant temperature. They generally carry rams much higher to help engines warm up faster.
  20. Overland owners who switched to 35 & 37 tires

On paper it might look good, but even though the torque curve is 'flat', it is still very low. I believe the torque peak is 4800....wtf?? By comparison, the inline 4.0 peaked at 1500ish. The 2.0 has much more torque off the bottom, where you will be spending most of the time crawling. The...
