Usually, they are going to press going to UD60s. With that amount of horsepower you have the ability to snap the stock axles. I know when I did mine I didn't initially plan on upgrading to 60s but they just had a hellcat conversion that had snapped their Dana44s.
Yeah - its something but not really what I'd be looking for. Everyone wants to use whats there or have the same physical button the Ram had. I don't usually keep my keyfob on me when I am loading/unloading so that doesn't really do much for me. I wish they would just set up where you could...
I already did one grille swap on it and the cam wasn't too hard. I was just curious if the 2024 grille had the same mounting setup. Figured that would likely be the case being that they didn't change the body or frame otherwise.
Not much different than driving with 5 lug axles. You get a bit more width and feel a little more stable.
I could daily my Jeep cross country and there would be no issues.
Like all the people that have been waiting the last 3 years for Jeep to put the 392 in the Gladiator from the factory?
There are powertrain changes coming from the factory but no actual release date. I don't beleive anything anymore until it hits the assembly line.
Honestly if I did it again, which I might a little ways down the road - I will do a Helephant. I started out with a bolt on supercharger - they are trash and not great if its a long term vehicle for you.
That being said my situation might be different than others. My wife has a Tuscadero...
I am the only one here that I am aware of that did the 5.7 first and then upgraded to the Hellcat. Happy to answer any questions you might have.
Overall you aren't going to save yourself much money on fuel or suspension wear and tear by going with the 5.7.
Hemi tuned suspension isn't marketing speak. They have both the shocks and springs specifically built by Terraflex and Falcon to support the additional weight of the powertrain.
I could see it being less if you went with different parts than AMW suggests on the lift and etc. There were some advantages in going with the parts they suggested too that made it worth the little bit of extra cash IMO. Things like the springs and shocks being tuned specifically to account...
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah it could definitely be useful sometimes for us with the dogs and such, but we usually just throw them in one of our Wranglers or GC 4xe. We run our Wranglers and my JT with no top, no doors from May to October so that is a factor I hadn't really thought about too...
I fight back and forth with myself about these. I'd love to have it on to be able to throw my dogs back there and stuff but - it takes so much appeal away IMO. Kind of makes it seem like you are back to a Wrangler almost.
IDK - I get it but I dont. I've looked at the soft top covers for...
There is a guy who 3D prints custom models. I had one done - was like $50 and turned out pretty sharp. I'll try to find his info but I ran into him here on the forum
Yeah, it's a tough spot to be in and to be fair I held out for WAY longer than I felt I should have needed to in order to give them time to resolve. The entire original purpose of this build thread was free advertising for them because why the hell not?
Sad that it is where it is. Honestly...
It really irritates me that they are now taking the angle of making me a villain because I have some bad reviews on Google.
I get it - like I don't tend to make a lot of reviews or noise about places that are average or subpar. Its either wow this is awful I'm going to leave a review or wow...
Update - still no details on how or when they plan on having solution for our build issues. They had me send pictures of each noted defect. I have had a few conversations with my company attorney who is at this point advising rather than getting involved. They continue to play games. Jared...
