  1. Kayak racks for Smartcap

I doubt that the kayaks cause any more force on the SmartCap than a large roof top tent.
  2. Icon 2.5" Lift with OEM Rubicon Shocks

You could add shock extensions, just be careful not to bottom the shock out on a big impact if your bump stops are too short.
  3. Control Arm Help

You should be able to find some threads from others that installed a Clayton lift and checked caster afterwards. Based on what I recall from others that did check, Clayton’s settings seem to result in correct caster.
  4. Control Arm Help

I do not. I did a test drive after installing the lift and it drove with no issues so I have so far not taken it for an alignment. I’m going to take it in after a few more miles and have things checked. With the way it drives now, straight down the road and no wobbles or bad behaviors, I think...
  5. Control Arm Help

I have the Clayton 2.5” Overland Plus set to their specs and I have no complaints.
  6. Fox Shocks Terrible Service

If you are considering Falcons, my experience with them resolving an issue was great. Without getting into the details, they went beyond what I expected in resolving the problem and their customer service was easy to deal with and returned phone calls in a reasonable time when I left a message...
  7. 2020 Jeep Gladiator Squat

I did replace mine with Clayton’s heavy duty springs when I installed their 2.5” Overland Plus lift and Falcon adjustable shocks. I’m happy with the setup but it may not be for everyone and different manufacturers offer different spring rates.
  8. 2020 Jeep Gladiator Squat

A lot of the aftermarket lift kit companies offer heavy duty springs for the extra weight of gear and camper shells. I would suggest contacting them to determine which springs best suit your needs.
  9. The Weak Link

I have the Clayton 2.5” Overland Plus and 35’s on my Rubicon Diesel but don’t spend time in the desert. Have you talked with Falcon/Teraflex or Clayton? I would like to hear their thoughts.
  10. The Weak Link

Could you give some details on your setup and what led to this happening? I have the same shock and it looks to me like the same control arms as you. Thanks
  11. DPF fitting not reconnected after dealer warranty work. What is it/is it a concern?

I’ve only driven 2000 miles since the pressure differential tube was not reconnected by the dealer. Am I correct in thinking that in 2000 miles there would only be minor, if any, additional wear on the DPF? Is there any way to make that determination? Thanks for the info.
  12. DPF fitting not reconnected after dealer warranty work. What is it/is it a concern?

It goes to the dealer Wednesday morning so hopefully they can determine if anything needs to be done. I know that’s asking for a lot but what else can you do? Can they read the pressures with a scanner while it’s running?
  13. DPF fitting not reconnected after dealer warranty work. What is it/is it a concern?

I’ve found that it is the tube for the DPF pressure differential sensor. Here is what it does: A DPF pressure differential sensor measures the pressure difference between the exhaust gas before and after a diesel particulate filter (DPF), allowing the engine control unit (ECU) to monitor the...
  14. DPF fitting not reconnected after dealer warranty work. What is it/is it a concern?

I sent the same pictures to the dealership and I’m waiting to hear back from them. Unfortunately this type of thing seems to happen more often than it used to.
  15. DPF fitting not reconnected after dealer warranty work. What is it/is it a concern?

I had warranty work performed that required the DPF to be removed. A fitting was stripped in the process and the dealer installed a new DPF. I have driven about 2000 miles since then. Yesterday I noticed that a fitting at the rear of the DPF was not connected (see photos). I have not had any...
  16. What length bump stops are you using with the Clayton 2 1/2” Overland Plus lift?

Too late now, the lift is installed. I tried to get an answer ahead of time but evidently wasn’t talking to the right person. The 3” stops that came with the Clayton 2.5” Overland Plus were too long. A 1 1/4” in the front and 1 1/2” in the rear is what worked.
  17. What length bump stops are you using with the Clayton 2 1/2” Overland Plus lift?

I have the lift installed now. I had hoped to get the correct bump stop with the kit but that didn’t happen. The Clayton 2.5” Overland Plus came with 3” stops front and rear which didn’t seem right to me. When I got the lift and took measurements it was obvious the 3” bump stops were too long. A...
  18. What length bump stops are you using with the Clayton 2 1/2” Overland Plus lift?

Wheelin98TJ, On the front in particular, I was hoping to order something close to what I need since they can’t be changed easily. I’ m not going to order the 3” stops that come with Clayton’s kit since they are way too long. I was hoping someone that has this lift could provide me a good idea of...
  19. What length bump stops are you using with the Clayton 2 1/2” Overland Plus lift?

Tire clearance will not be an issue. I just want to make sure I don’t bottom out the shock at when the suspension is fully compressed. I’m wanting a bump stop length that would give me between 1/2” and 1” of shack travel remaining at that point.
  20. What length bump stops are you using with the Clayton 2 1/2” Overland Plus lift?

I’m ordering the Clayton 2 1/2” Overland Plus lift with Falcon SP2 3.3 shocks for my JT Rubicon Diesel. I currently have 35” tires. The kit comes with 3” bump stops front and rear which seems to tall for a 2.5” lift. For those with this lift on your JT, what length bump stop are you using and...
