We have 5 jeeps in the family. Two gladiator diesels, (21 and 23) and three 4xe’s. (Two 23s and a 24)
One 4xe has had a tranny replacement (porous case), the other (23) has had multiple electrical issues. It’s currently at the dealer for a module and harness replacement due to water intrusion...
Its not expensive, but there is a procedure to follow. If Canadians buy a vehicle in the States, we have to send the title/import documents to the border agency 24hrs before we get there with the vehicle. I’m not sure how it works going the other way.
Take a look in Ontario, just across the border. The used jeeps aren’t priced that much different, but you get a screaming deal on the currency exchange.
They definitely need to bring in a “car guy” not a bookworm. Someone that can build excitement around new vehicles, giving the consumer what they want instead of shoving a product down their throat that he “thinks” they need.
Now that a political change is upon us, what are the chances Stellantis could be persuaded to bring back the diesel in the Gladiator and Wrangler line up. I for one, would trade my 4XE I use for work in on a diesel Gladiator in a heartbeat. (Even though I would take a bath on the trade in value)...
Hoping the cafe standards and the epa crap get re written with a little common sense so they can bring the diesel back. Imagine getting 30mpg in a gladiator!
wow, that’s crazy. I’ve had three eco gladiators…still own two of them. I haven’t had any major issues at all. (yet) lol
I traded one of the gladiators (work truck) for a 4xe Wrangler. The electric isn’t a bad powertrain, but the diesel is my favorite by far.
I think, to get a fully loaded farout, you’d have to order one. I was going to order back in August, but paying full pop while getting nothing on my trade squashed the appeal of that deal. It is strange that the farout package only includes the base soft top, not even a premium one. Having said...
I took a look online here in Ontario Canada. I don’t see any new diesels left on jeeps website. There might be a couple still around, but there was a bunch available before Jeep Canada implemented the 10% rebate in early March. Most dealers added an additional 5% discount which seams to be doing...
I was thinking of ordering a farout back in Sept, and was stuck between Punkin and sarge. Had I followed through with the order, it likely would have been sarge. It was the 10% Jeep discount, and an additional 5% from the dealer that made me pull the trigger on this one. ( it is nice that...
We actually still have a 2021 Diesel Gecko gladiator in the family as well. We traded a 2013 gecko JKU for it back in covid, and got close to what we paid 8 years ago on the trade. (won’t see those times come back any time soon)
As for the snow, that pic was taken back in February. Was about 70...
Nice. I have to pick up a hard top off marketplace and have it painted punkin for winter use. Thats the only additional option I wish mine had. I had wanted to get another diesel and was negotiating on this one when Jeep bumped the rebates to 10% off here in Canada…it became a no brainer.
I’m a new owner of a 23 Farout in Punkin. Option package on mine was the farout edition and that’s it, (base soft top and all). My build date was Dec 5th 2023,. If you own one, what’s your build date, options, did you order off the lot, or picked up an in stock unit? I’m interested to see how...
21 gecko JTRD, and just traded a 4xe for a 23 JTRD in Punkin (Farout edition) Be keeping these two for quite some time. The diesel power train is by far my favorite in a Jeep.
