  1. Oil leak

No it has not happened since. We had a pretty cold November when this happened but it has hit single digits and there has been no problem. They just did their service and replaced the O-ring along with the filter and told me thats what it was. Seems like an odd fluke to me...

  6. death wobble / shimmy/ blah blah blah fixed !

I agree with you but sometimes the slang or shorthand can overcome the technical terms. If I need an actual "tie rod" or drag link at any of my local parts stores I would have to specify that. If I went in and asked for a tie rod they would ask which one? At the knuckle? At the pitman arm...
  7. death wobble / shimmy/ blah blah blah fixed !

Its all a matter of terminology. Look at an IFS steering setup with inner and outer tie rods. Go to the parts store and open the box, its a "ball socket" or whatever you wanna call it. I call them tie rod ends. Some people just call them tie rods. There are a ton of different "rod ends" in the...
  8. Suggestions how to make the seat bottom recline?

I just installed the Desert Does It seat jackers last night. I only have a couple miles on them but I like them so far. Gives more leg room and puts you in a more comfortable position. Naturally since you are raising the front instead of lowering the rear you have to get up a bit higher when you...

  10. death wobble / shimmy/ blah blah blah fixed !

First post says a slight wander and a slight shimmy. That aint no death wobble.
  11. death wobble / shimmy/ blah blah blah fixed !

So... where was the death wobble and what was the solution?
  12. Yankum Ropes Grooved Fairlead for Synthetic Lines

I've seen this and I like it. My Factor55 flatlink never seems to stay tight to my fairlead and ends up falling down a little. I'll have one on my YJ at some point.
  13. Clayton 3.5 overland plus help

Ratchet straps can be a big help pulling things into place to get bolts in, for the control arms as well as the track bar.

  16. Regen message????

I wouldnt have been too worried about it, as long as you dont shut it off. I drive a lot of very short trips throughout my day and when that message pops up it isnt practical to drive for another 15-20 minutes for a regen because ill be at my destination in 30 seconds. After the 3rd or 4th time...
  17. Are you all super rich or is there a method I don’t get?!

After it got bought out and ruined by Vertical Scope someone started it back up as Irate4x4. Not sure how it compares to the Pirate of old though.
  18. Mojave Questions

I guess I put my foot in my mouth. Early 07 2 door JKs had a 35 rear and apparently some JLs have a 30/35. I just knew that all JTs have 44s, wide or standard.
  19. Mojave Questions

Luckily Dana 35s havent been a thing since TJs. All JKs had a rear 44, the only difference was standard or Rubicon. They still put the Dana 30 up front in non-Rubicon JKs but they beefed it up quite a bit. Now all JL/JTs get 44s up front too
