I have this one https://www.orudesignsusa.com/
It was about 4 weeks when I ordered , but they are now saying 6-8 weeks. They are local to me, and I spent a lot of time walking through it with them. Pretty cool guys and Great support.
I am obviously biased , but I really liked the hardsides...
Nice looking rig! I get my camper on it next week. Did you add airbags, lift , or HD springs to add support with the gfc , tire carrier and bike? @ScottHarr_JT
@RobTrachtman was great for me. I did the math, and it didn't make sense to go Gupton or Idaho from a $ plus throwing a bunch of miles on a brand new vehicle. Got the truck (JTRD 2022) in about 9 weeks or so from order.
Was it the harness somewhat near the passenger front fender, and was it resting on the downpipe? There was a post on a FB group a few weeks ago about this being common and to check. I did on my 22 JTRD, and yep - the harness was touching the downpipe flange. I pulled it back a bit and zip...
Also FWIW - I emailed SDI, and they said that it should work with the stock rubicon backspacing and lift (if barely). Lift helps, but no need to go crazy on the backspacing
Thanks @Eazye ! Love to hear it. I was actually doing a mild trail yesterday (pic for attention) and felt like I was a little underdamped in certain scenarios. I don't have any weight yet on the truck, which will exacerbate things if not corrected. But it's super soft on the top, which is...
So I am really close to pulling the trigger on these (still debating which lift) and @Eazye I was wondering if you had more time off-road on these now?
How do they compare with the stock Rubi suspension in terms of offroad ride-quality when "fully soft" in lower speed (<20mph) conditions? I...
I was in this boat and went with a Rubicon Diesel. The downsides are the payload is limited, potential issues with diesel (knock on wood, none yet), and cost. The power, mpgs and ride have been great. Plus the out of box off road capability is awesome. So far haven’t done anything more than...
Sorry to resurrect a thread, but curious how you guys are getting along with the 1up in off-road scenarios? My old Thule XT gave up the ghost this weekend (it was 7+ years old and 10ks of miles with heavy bikes) on some forest roads. I don't plan on hardcore off-roading with the rack plus...
Hey guys/gals -
Here is another option for the topper camper crowd. I have one being built atm, and it will be their first JT. I explored everything possible for the past 5 months and landed on these guys due to their lead time, hardwall design, and being <10 mins from house to talk with them...
I am seriously considering these on my upcoming JTRD. I am going to be building it out to more of an "overland" setup which means it will have a lot of weight, potentially variable if its removable. The extra damping should help with roll and sway. Have you played with the weight bias feature...
It’s one I am considering. Plus a new outfit near me that is doing similiar style topper but with hard sided pop ups. Lots of good options these days!
(1st post, been lurking JTRD on order)
This one has my attention. I like the slide in and clean layout. About the same size as most vertical pop toppers so you don't gain anything there but the weight with amenities is close to what the topper builds are probably like.
