If you go through all the steering and suspension and donāt find it my recommendation is ball joints. They fixed it for me. The factory ball joints donāt last long especially if you put bigger tires on and push them out. Mine only made it about 35k.
44k miles. My first time and it wasnāt bad. I rented a ball joint press from the auto parts store. Worst part was the stuck hubs. I had to get a tool off Amazon to break them free. Lots of good YouTube videos helped as well.
@Free2roam I just realized my earlier comment wasnāt on this thread. These diesels are heavy and I donāt think the factory ball joints are adequate. Mine were all shot when I took them off.
I did ball joints at the same time as the Synergy bracket a short while back when I was having death wobble problems. I put in Teraflex HD ball joints that are adjustable. My issues cleared up. A couple weeks ago they came back and I started chasing the problem. I rechecked the ball joints after...
Iām in the same exact battle right now. I will know tomorrow how much 1/16 is because I rotated 1/2 a turn and it is going back on the alignment rack.
I think that bushing is hanging out on all gladiators. Mine is out and Iāve seen other posts on it.
I just replaced mine last week at 40k and they were exactly the same as yours. It felt like the only resistance was the rubber boot on both the uppers and lowers.
Glad it works. That was the first thing they asked me to check since it is the only moving part in their system. I wish mine did, there is no alternative like this product.
No noise after reinstalling factory. We tried increasing torque. We also tried loosening the swaybar and retightening it. I videoed it with myGoPro but couldnāt see movement anywhere. It sure sounds like it is in the swaybar connection but I canāt be certain.
I was not able to identify the root cause. I have been working directly with Apex and they have been very supportive but no solution. I am sending mine back to them now to be inspected.
