We just got our Rubicon last August (we ordered ours from the factory too) - with color-matched fenders and the LED light package - my advice? Do whatever you have to, to get the LED lights..here she is and she's a beauty!
My opinion - this is no contest - get the Rebel - especially with a quad cab and the air suspension.
I have the air suspension on my 2015 Laramie and it is the nuts!!! Great ride - easy load - no sagging - just plain great! BTW - Ram boxes too!
I appreciate all that has been shared here about the Gladiator and comparisons to full size trucks - I love my 2015 Ram Laramie with Ram boxes and air suspension - great options - great truck.
The market for a Jeep truck would expand hugely if they build the J6 - truck people would get their...
I don't know why all the fuss about fitting a full sheet (4x8) of plywood into a Gladiatotr - after all it's a "lifestyle vehicle" not a pickup truck.... So you can haul a couple of motor bikes or kayaks....UGH!
Build the J6!!!!
As someone who has argued for the 2 door or extended cab Jeep truck for nearly 15 years I have a message for all the crew cab naysayers:
JEEP IS GOING TO BUILD THE J6!
Period. End of story.
I don't know how you can say that about the tow/haul stats for the J6- here's a direct quote from the very article that had the video you attached:
"While power comes from the same 3.6-liter V6 that powers the regular Wrangler JL and Gladiator (along with the eight-speed automatic transmission)...
Here's a direct quote from the boys at "TFL (the fast lane) Truck" website:
"Journalists begged Jeep to build the J6. The Jeep J6 concept is, by far, their most popular vehicle at this year’s Easter Jeep Safari."
They were in attendance at Moab last weekend and saw the vehicles first- hand and...

A poll on Car and Driver asks this question:
Do you think Jeep should sell the J6?
And the results....98% Totally, two-door trucks are awesome - to 2% Nah! I prefer four-door trucks
C'MON JEEP BUILD THE J6!!!!!!
The original extended cab in 2005 was fantastic! I think if memory serves it had an expandable bulkhead so the rear wall of the cab could come forward to expand the bed - like the former Chevy Avalanche.
I hope they build it - constant pressure on the management at FCA is required. Remember, the management at FCA and the previous owners of Jeep said for years that another Jeep pickup truck was not viable. There was "no profit model for a truck"; "the market won't support it"; "a Jeep pickup...
BTW thanks for starting this thread - the more of these the better.
Jeep reads these forums and the more they see of the 2-door/extended cab movement the better. They need to get off this strict crew cab, lifestyle-truck mind set and build a well-rounded offering of Jeep trucks
