I’ve installed the RK 4-link on a gladiator, and we used the u-bolts AND I welded it to the tubes. a week after install, we took the gladiator on the Rubicon and it performed flawlessly. I also installed the RK on my JK (not a 4 link), and it handled every Trail I put it on.
I had intended to...
Some folks have trouble with the search inside the forum, so browser search that includes Jeep Gladiator Forum will generally get you the information you desire…
Wildfire XLT lift. It’s 9000 pounds and 6’10” under lift clearance. I’m just over 6’5”, and I wanted to be able to raise the lift all the way up and walk under it without hitting my head or ducking, as I don’t always work in a rig while it’s in the lift…motorcycles is an example.
same here just under 6’5”… the Gladiator is not really built for our height.
I also agree on the sun beating down on my head…not a fan. In fact, when I converted my 47 cj2a to a truck with a frame stretch to accommodate my height, I had a custom soft top built to keep the sun at bay.
These flush taillights are a curiosity to me since I am new to the Gladiator world. I like the look, but the price for all the items I have looked at is strong for an aesthetic change.
Is damaging taillights a systemic problem on Gladiators or is the flush taillight a solution looking for a...
That is my wife’s number one fear…bears. we have camped for over 5 decades, and having bears in camp at night over the years only serves to exacerbate her concern about being eaten by a bear.
The adventure motorhome is her preference, but on a Back Country Discovery Route, the only option is...
The adventure motorhome definitely has its limitation, even with e-lockers, winch, etc….which is when we switch to the Jeep. When things get really spicy, the motorcycle gets the nod. Probably the best adventure setup we have ever had…and just in time since I am newly retired…
Adventure ready and the Jeep comes with us. The JK is gone and JT is our new tow rig….I need a new picture of the setup with the JT.
more expensive than a bed tent, but very comfortable…
When my rear locker broke early in ownership and both the dealer and the inspector sent by Jeep tried to deny the warranty because the for some reason the oil was milky (no idea why)…and kept my Jeep for almost 6 months…I knew I had wasted my money on the warranty. they even grilled me on...
A sheet rock carrier from Home Depot and wall hangers for the doors allow this to be a one man job…assuming a guy stays in decent shape. I’m 66 and can handle it by myself. Open the door, roll down the windows, disconnect strap and electrical, place sheet rock carrier under the door from the...
I converted my JK to solid aluminum drag link and tie rod with 1 ton ends, and found I needed to change the tie rod ends at about the same interval as the stock units. The advantage for the JK is that the stock tie rod bends pretty easily. Bent mine on Top of the World in Moab and used a short...
I’ve used PRP Enduro seats in Jeeps previously, as well as adapted seats from other rigs…but a factory Jeep seat would be the easiest conversion.
I am thinking about swapping the Volkswagen seats in my 47 cj2a truck conversion to PRP seats since I have an extra pair of seats on the second floor...
I pay cash for my rigs, and when I bought my 2014 Rubicon X, I spent over $20k on upgrades, as I wanted it to be capable for any trail I wanted to run. After buying my Gladiator in January, I sold my 2014 for $15,000, $70,000 spent for $15k sale value, and spent a fair amount of the sale money...
One last note: The ramps were too long to be able to close the shop door with them installed, and they are a pain to removed all the time, so I cut them in half and added hinges so the are half the length and just stay in place all the time. I only fold them flat when driving the corvette or...
That lift will do the trick. I actually sit under my lift in a chair as much as I stand under the lift, so totally possible to have sitting under the lift as the normal solution. with the height restrictions in your shop, I would slide the rolling chair under the lift and steep over the front...
my motorhome has an onboard propane tank mounted behind one of the doors, and quite frankly, it can be a pain to get it filled in remote areas. In fact, I carry two exchange size tanks and have a regulator and hose that allows me to use the exterior propane port to connect these smaller tanks...
