Agreeing with the above, new from dealer is a rip off. Takeoff used, eh, maybe... but really only if you like the factory look. Otherwise you can get better bumpers for same as take off or cheaper than dealer.
There's no posts for the mats to attach to, they would probably slide around a lot. They say to not use them.
I think it'll hold up just fine. New product just released a year ago, maybe more information on the JL forums.
The hair and crap around the mats and especially under the seats will come out extremely easily.
Link above, I had a bit of a promo price from their new JT release but they've been making for other vehicles a long time.
Install wasn't difficult, very straight forward. The worst part is...
I think I would go Motobilt for about the same price, but you're gonna need to paint or coat it.
I never had an issue with heat. I dont think it's going to keep much sound out. It is a pretty tick layer of underlayment and then the rubberized part, but it isn't sound deadening. But I also have 35x12.5 mud terrains on so they're just loud as is.
Mud mats? You don't need mud mats...
I have a dog and his hair gets into the carpet and is impossible to get out. And since he is a husky, there is a LOT of it too. And while I am not allergic to dogs at all, he gets pollen on his fur and any of it swirling around can irritate me. It evades the mud mats easily.
And my kid plays...
Ok, route them through your drain hole, leaving that permanently open... then what? Leave the cables exposed in the footwell and install the switches under the front seat? Go for it if you want, I will just do the electronics.
Edit... also, the cable coming from the rear is going to have to...
The manual switches are fine for an off road only rig, or something old, but I would not be cutting up a brand new $50k truck to install the cables on ugly switches in an already cramped interior when a practical solution exists.
No not at all. The benefits of the mechanical locker come from the internals and the ability to manually over ride the system if something breaks on the cable side.
The manual switches are huge, maybe fine in an old K5 but our tiny little Jeep interiors, I can't think of where I would mount...
Would a bad aux battery stop the car from operating if the main is ok? Or just cause this intermittent sort of thing? Need to drive to Fresno this weekend and deciding to take the truck or my sedan.
Oh yeah for sure, no more little league for us. We're 9u majors, going to the Perfect Game National Invitational in Florida this July. Being in NorCal has been tough to get to the official stuff that's happening in Vegas and AZ. We did go to Vegas in Nov though. The SoCal teams get into...
