  1. New Jeep Owner

On stock wheels with a leveling kit, tire width will be you enemy, but you will be able to clear up to a 35" tall tire. Personally I went with 295/70r18 Falken Wildpeak AT3W'S and am very happy with them. They are a bit smaller than your traditional 35x12.5 but stay in spec of the stock...
  2. Be Cautious When Purchasing Black Horse Off Road Products

You keep repeating yourself with that last line so I still don't think you understand. Your intent vs how your post is actually perceived don't line up, and perception is reality. Your post reads "dont buy, this product rusts, they don't even use real powder coat" even if those aren't the words...
  3. Be Cautious When Purchasing Black Horse Off Road Products

But its not about the quality of the product. Its about your singular issue, that is covered under warranty and could be a complete fluke and not indicative at all of the quality of their product. As a consumer you should expect to draw the short straw every once in awhile and wind up with a...
  4. Be Cautious When Purchasing Black Horse Off Road Products

I am going to go ahead and say YTA here. These small companies live and die by reputation and no matter your intent this was unnecessary derogatory. You didn't even wait a reasonable amount of time for them to respond. Large companies, with full customer service departments don't even respond...
  5. 35s & 4.56 gears experience

Curious on your gas mileage if you have an auto. I run 35's on 3.73 gears and get 16-17 still but would love a bit more power.
  6. Pennsylvania WTB 2020 Overland OEM Tire

For the right price shipped i am in for one wheel... I have 4 overland tires kicking around already.
  7. Would the Wrangler (4 dr) and the Gladiator make good military garrison vehicles?

FCA missed their opportunity to make this a thing. Chevy ZR2 won the contract. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a34518940/gm-4x4-colorado-based-military/
  8. Retractable tonneau and tracks for rack system

Your one of the first I've seen to have the ts rails installed. They have been sitting in my Amazon cart for awhile now but have yet to hear any first hand feedback. Are you happy with them and do they mount and feel secure? If you have more photos I'd love to see how they mount and how they...
  9. Torque Wrench

Taiwan is a solid step above your average Chinese manufacturing in general. I was more making the point that the company is worth supporting as a us owned and based company with a solid warranty and they are moving more and more of their products to US made.
  10. Torque Wrench

Americn made will tend to be more on the breaking of the bank side. Tekton is at least an American company that is making more and more stuff in the US. https://www.tekton.com/1-2-inch-drive-click-torque-wrench-24340
  11. Am I crazy?

My 2 cents. If you are wishing you had different features on your current ride but gave in to what was on the lot once, don't do it again. Fill out a build sheet with exactly what you want and send it off to one of the dealers people use on here that consistently seem to get 6-8% off invoice...
  12. Will 37s fit on a stock Overland?

My experience for what its worth. "35's" and "37's" is too general of a statement with how close they are to fitting. Backspacing and tread width are a huge factor. I.E. I have 295/70R18(34.2x11.5") tires that clear everything with no rubbing, lock to lock and flexed out with no lift, on stock...
  13. New Jeep Owner

Of course! Also look into wheels, tires, suspension, etc that are taken off of Rubicons as others are upgrading. Take off wheels and tires are going to be the cheapest way to get up to a beefy AT tire and 17" rim, with the added benefit of being OE quality parts.
  14. New Jeep Owner

The teraflex 1-1.5" front leveling kit will come up as the most common, its reviewed really highly and is simple to install. There are others that are more "complete" with some geometry brackets and stuff that aren't 100% necessary on only 1.5". If your buying wheels anyways, 17 are the way to...
  15. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Thanks Courtney. I have faith that the dealer will come through for me, should that change i will reach out.
  16. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Parts manager wasn't specific on which he was missing, but did say the depot he ordered from out of Detroit had them on the shelf to overnight but it was kind of outside the process to get it that way. (Dealership is in Minneapolis area)
  17. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Drop my JT off at the dealership this morning for the TSB and fell victim to the "we have the steering box, but not the new bolt" problem. I knew it was too good to be true that my dealer ordered the parts on January 2nd, and got them on the 9th. They had the bolt on order it just didn't come in...
  18. Bumper dilemma

Can you link the shackle mounts you have on there? I like the look of the venerator but hate to meat hooks, this is a huge improvement.
  19. Minnesota Border to Border Trail

Thanks for the link! I had never heard of this before. I'd be up for it sometime this spring or summer. I will need to look into the route more and find a spot or two to camp out. It is like a 7 hour drive to the ND side or 3 ish to the superior side from me so I would want to do it over a...
