Question,
when you remove your springs. What other suspension components do you remove?
I usually disconnect everything, feel like I am going over board. Can I get away with just disconnecting
- shocks
- Track bar
- brake line bolts?
Thanks!
understood, I wanted to get it per the specs that was shared. Now that I am there we can adjust. By looking at it, I can’t tell if I should be adjusting the upper or lower.
Also, on the passenger side. It looks like it may not be seated properly on the bump stop? I don’t even know if that’s...
Hey guys, sorry for the late response. I finally had some time to adjust my control arms. Looking for some more feedback from y’all!
Both LCA were correct at 24.50”
Driver UCA was 21 3/4”
Passenger UCA was 21 1/2”
I left the LCA alone and adjusted the UCAs to 20 12/32 per the specs y’all...
I went with the Terra-Flex 3.5" Coil Spring Base Lift Kit (https://teraflex.com/jt-3-5-coil-spring-base-lift-kit-no-shocks.html#)
It did include both the front & rear sway bar links. You are correct, the 13" links are in the front and the 11.50" links are well. not on my truck LOL. So looks...
what a mess! I am out of town until next weekend but will be looking into all of this then.
The back story on my Jeep is I purchased it used with a terrible suspension system it was a mess from the start, I had my Co-Worker who “claims” he works on jeeps all the time install a 3.5” terra flex...
I am going to bring it back to the shop tomorrow. I am trying to find faults with my truck but after some help from y’all I am starting to believe it was not properly aligned. I paid extra for them to adjust the control arms as well.
Just a few other photos.
does the front wheel look more towards the front?
My ACOS bump stops are currently providing a 1/2” lift. My truck sits pretty level. Unsure if this is playing a roll in the current issue.
Thank you for the detailed post. It was very easy to follow.
Another member just brought up my bump stops, they are about a 1/2” from being bottomed out (meaning they are currently adjusting the ride height by 1/2” lift). I left it with a 1/2 spacing due to the fact we had to cut the original...
I have not, they are currently about a 1/2” dropped from being completely bottomed out. Also as a side note. Before the alignment my bump stops were hitting the springs but my springs were not hitting the bump stops
they are seated correctly on the correction pad. Maybe they are not seated correctly on the adjustable bump stop. How would I be able to confirm?
I was told it is properly seated from the alignment shop
