In my non professional opinion then. 4:88 gears is super low and if the gear shop is confident in it, then maybe it's just everything else spinning faster and the axle spinning slower. Or it's in your head :headbang:

Anytime I've had gears set up on a vehicle incorrectly I've heard noise on decel/brakes at lower speeds. Definitely not a gear expert but 4:88 is obviously super low and if this shop is reputable for setting up gears and they've double checked then good to go right?

I gotta say the AC works great in these. I'd vote soft top especially since you don't have to deal with much of a winter.
