Some cool concept features, but largely vaporware.
Even then, looking past the bombastic concept eye candy and over the top luxury, I could get behind the expanded Ramboxes, Midgate, 3rd row jump seats, and frunk with pass through. Tons of utility which is only possible on a skateboard EV...
Then he is getting exactly what he hoped to accomplish. You clicked and then reposted his article which makes him money. All on some wild baseless speculations...
I would not expect to see the Hurricane in the JL/JT platform (if at all) until some time after it makes its way into the Grand Cherokee and RAM 1500 platforms and the Hemi is done. Making me believe that would be a 2025/2026 launch at the earliest.
A little earlier than previously thought. Been watching this color over on the wrangler forums, and I will need to see a few in person. It could just be me, but the pics I have seen of the early wranglers in earl appear a bit more baby blue than the minty green undertones I thought I saw in the...
To me its the stump pulling low end torque off idle and at lower rpms that is missing for the JL and particularly the JT with the Pentastar. I think all BOF trucks/SUVS should have more, and the move to higher rev-ing v6s lost this.
HP is relative to the feel of the vehicle (as the diesel...
As a base engine the 3.6 is fine. Once you start optioning up a Rubi, Mojave, or even Max Tow, it is only best described as serviceable, but otherwise a bit of a disappointment particularly when it comes to the power to weight ratio and general overall value. At launch the 5.7 would have made...
I'd prefer an Avalanche type version of the Wagoneer with the Hurricane.
To be honest if GM was selling a modern one of those I'd be in on that (not some six figure electric vaporware version which is apparently what is coming), really can't figure with how truck crazy the world is now why no...
This is the best summary here. I know people will go on about how they do this or that 'just fine' with their Gladiator (good for you) but for pure 'truck' stuff there are far better tools.
The Gladiators best virtue to me is its far superior interior cabin space for the mid-sized class...
Sounds like some personal bias. Can you show us where the general touched you?
I have a 2000 Ram that is rotting away (while it has had a good run, we are talking Swiss cheese all over the place). Really wish I never got rid of my 2004 Chevy z71 for my 2015 F-150 Lariat. That truck was in and...
It's even nicer than for when your girl is laying face down if you know what I mean ;)
But, alas at this point in my life it would just be handy for the dog or being able to take the parents and the family in one car to the zoo.
Its just too bad your choice is mostly a base model with the...
To itch my curiosity and take up some time while stuck at the in-laws during a rainy long weekend, I went out for some test drives of few Silverados and Sierras in both the 2.7t and the 5.3 v8 back to back. The 2.7t really is the better motor as far as drivability and fun factor (unloaded /...
While your not wrong per se, the manufactures also adjusted base prices and option prices during model years, and with the Gladiator not actually changing at all (aside from in a few cases making once optional features standard) I'm not giving them much slack for the model year designations.
But its not really the last 2.5 years. 2021 model were built and sold well into the end of the year. 2022s were s short year. We are really talking 1 calendar year.
I have noticed this as well. And on top of it, and while I can't find the proof I thought I saw somewhere, I think the spread from invoice to MSRP has shrunk over the same period.
It is especially crazy given how long the 2021 year was and how short the 2022 year was - so we are really only...
Not sure your point or if this even really warrants a reply.
This thread is appropriately in the Gladiator Versus... section and is relevant to the numerous other discussions of what the next generation Gladiator might bring.
That could work, but... lifecycle of the battery also needs to be part of the analysis. Being able to do quick recharges at the expense of accelerated degradation of the battery pack is not an even trade.
Something is amis on the build and price, and I am not buy-ing the hard top being standard on the Rubicon...
If this is the case, I just build a Freedom Package and Rubicon with the steel bumpers, both with hardtops and the same options (pretty loaded, but the standard seats) and it comes up...
Agree that the Ford Bronco has the benefit of being fresh and that is in large part having something to benchmark against and just being newer. Plus Ford's engine offerings are ostensibly better top to bottom than FCAs in every segment.
That said, execution on the details has been...
