I've wanted a spool gun for my MIG welder, I could build a camper shell too.
Whether I get around to it or not, with my other projects wanting my time and attention, remains to be seen.
This is why I'd really like to find an aluminum bumper w. grill guard.
I want a Rock Hard 4X4 aluminum bumper (1/4" material) with a guard like the Vanguard bumper.
Maybe Rock Hard will build one if I ask nicely.
Do you think the upright on the ARB would withstand a deer strike? Or would it fold over and cause more damage?
I've looked at some pics on the ARB site to try to get an idea of the construction.
It's hard for me to judge, looking at the pics.
Thanks, that Extreme Terrain bumper and guard would do, if I could find out how thick the material is.
I can't find any material info (other than steel) in the ad, I'm afraid it's stamped sheetmetal.
I want 1/4" plate.
I searched Vanguard Off Road and think I found the manufacturer.
The weight...
For bumpers I usually prefer steel, in this case I hope aluminum would be strong enough yet keep some weight off the front of the truck.
I had forgotten about AEV thanks for the recommendation and I looked at the ARB.
It's hard to get a feel for how stout these bumpers are built, I don't...
Does anyone build a Ranchhand style bumper/grill guard, in aluminum, for the Gladiator?
I hit a deer Tues. morning about 7 hours from home. My Gladiator was disabled, I spent the last three days getting home to get my old Dodge to go get the Gladiator to get it home to get repaired.
Assuming...
Hmm... so it sounds like the dealerships in those states, rather than compete in an open market, get a law enacted that disallows businesses from outside to do business in that state.
Ought to be simple enough for someone to start a home based business in both states that sells the ESPs...
I like the suggestions for replacing the t-case with a used unit.
Then I'd take the old broken one back to the dealership, with it drooling oil, and drop it on the service mangers desk.
I like the style of some of the graphics that are offered but they're all black.
My JT is Granite Crystal, I'd like to see some of the graphics in a contrasting color that would stand out a little, silver, beige, white.
A silver tailgate wrap and fender vent inserts would be nice.
I don't think it's possible to predict what the used car market is going to do going forward.
Covid and it's affect on many things, including the used car market was (I hope) a one off fluke.
I had planned on shopping for a used JT last spring, in Dec. I found my new one on the lot marked down...
Are you getting the noise with the brakes applied?
I had a seal fail on a Dodge 2500, the first indication was a squeak when I applied the brakes, then I saw the gear oil on the inside of the tire.
If you're looking at new '24's I'd look somewhere other than that dealership, unless that price is the best you can find.
I don't like games and it sounds like they're playing games.
If you want to minimize your depreciation buy used.
I feel I owe OVERLOAD @OVERLORD an apology. I called him smelly, going on the assumption that he smelled bad due to his own admittance to smelling like "bad brussel sprouts".
I should not have assumed smelling of bad brussel sprouts equates to being smelly, some may like that smell. I myself...
