  1. 2024 Willys versus Mojave

Those are the specs I could find for '23 and older, I was assuming they were similar for the '24's.
  2. 2024 Willys versus Mojave

Not to confuse the issue but since you mentioned towing I'd suggest looking into a Rubicon, from everything I've seen it has a better tow rating than the Mojave. Unless there is some reason you're set against one. Another thought is, you mention owning the Willy's free and clear or having to...
  3. A consensus on fuel overflow problem?

I've noticed some pumps make the tank burp and some don't. It seems the ones that flow fast make it burp, though I have had it burp when on the slow setting as well. When I hear it coming up the fill tube I'll shut it off and trickle it in, if possible. I need to check the vent tube, I had...
  4. NEW TRAILER, DO I HAVE RIGHT TOW CAPACITY???

According to the towing info I see posted on the Wrangler Forum your factory tow rating is 6,000 lbs. https://www.wranglerforum.com/threads/jt-gladiator-towing-thread-this-is-the-place-to-find-specs-and-ask-questions.2408983/ However, assuming that is your truck in your avatar, it may not tow...
  5. Decent article: What is Jeep Culture, and What Should You Know Before Becoming a Part of it?

Funny to see this, earlier today I was wondering if I'd be happy driving a CJ7 again and realized I don't want to give up my plush JK or Gladiator.
  6. Automatic Time Update for DST?

This is the first I've heard of XM Guardian. Either I wasn't paying attention or I wasn't told about it when I bought the truck. Since I declined every add on (extended warranty/windshield and paint coverage, etc.) they probably passed right over it. I did find the GPS box checked in the clock...
  7. Automatic Time Update for DST?

I'll have to check my truck to see if I have this check box. The truck doesn't have GPS but I suppose that doesn't mean it doesn't have this ability. PuddleJumper mentioned the SOS emergency function, is this standard on every Gladiator? Mine is a base Sport with hardtop, Max Tow and a roll...
  8. Automatic Time Update for DST?

Thanks, I suspect it will require removing the top to access these. Not a bad thing mind you, it's one more reason to do it. It occurs to me that if I unplug those boxes my cell phone pairing will probably not function. I don't use it normally but do like the ability. Something to keep in...
  9. Automatic Time Update for DST?

Imagine my surprise when I got in my Gladiator Mon. morning and discovered that the time had automatically updated for the switch to DST. The truck is a base model '23, no XM radio. I didn't know it was capable of receiving signals, beyond the AM/FM radio. Where is the receiving antenna? I...
  10. Why I could never run my snow plow on a Mojave

Among other things the power seats, more airbags, and that wider screen add weight, and they require more wiring harness's.
  11. Why I could never run my snow plow on a Mojave

I'm right there with you, I am perfectly content with my new '23. It does everything I need. Then I see the '24's may come in Bikini! No, I don't need to think about trading my 3 month old truck in on a new one, just because I fell in love with that color the first time I saw it.
  12. Why I could never run my snow plow on a Mojave

Looking at these two pics I wonder if the reservoir and hose could go over the top of the frame and forward on the inside of the frame rails.
  13. Can someone please ID this TE pin so I can buy online and the correct crimper

I bought these fancy crimping pliers for Molex connectors when I needed to install a new subframe on my KTM dirt bike. I don't remember where I got them, probably Amazon. I don't think I paid too much. If you're looking for terminals too I have a couple of leftover Molex terminals I can...
  14. Confused on Transmission Service

I think you're getting scammed by the dealer. They may say "Oh but your warranty", if the service schedule doesn't call for it, and you're having no problems, I wouldn't get it done. I plan on draining and refilling mine around 60K, for my own peace of mind.
  15. Confused on Transmission Service

What is this service recommendation based on? Miles driven, or are you experiencing a problem they are trying to address with the service? How do you use your JT? Lots of heavy towing or extreme off roading that would get the trans hot and keep it hot? I wonder if the computer on these can...
  16. Time for a little Appreciation

In the past I managed to keep a truck 7 years before getting the itch for something different. I've had my JKR for 7 years now and still love it and have no plans to get rid of it. That inspired me to buy my JT, I'm hoping that Jeep magic carries over to it.
  17. Cover that winch, or let the elements have their way with it?

I'd say it depends on where you park your Jeep. Inside, out of the weather, probably no cover needed. I put a no name cover on the winch on my JK when I spent two weeks in Portland with it parked on the street. I wanted to keep sticky fingers off of it. Out of sight, out of mind.
  18. JT Auto - using manual mode

I'd worry more about damaging the engine, too much load at too low an RPM is lugging it. It may be running at or above idle speed but at idle there is no load on the engine.
  19. Newby Looking for Security Options

Sometimes a politely worded letter from an attorney can persuade someone to do the right thing. That is, if the dealership doesn't want to make things right for you. I'd give them the chance to come to the correct conclusion on their own first. Something to look into, and others here can...
