Hi Everyone,
So... i got my jeep back from the dealer (they replaced whole clutch) and i do see.. it's "wet" from the a leak in the driveshaft seal but when i pulled the diff fill bolt, fluid came out.
Imo... it's a very.. very slow leak and i am thinking of just keeping an eye on it. Maybe...
Yes, that's a good idea... i'll double check to see if it's actually leaking as.. i didn't notice anything when i last inspected it.
I found this Video: and at the 28 min, they do the pre-load which looks like.. they just check the resistance which is at 14-15 ftlbs while spinning...
I think...
Hi,
Hi Yall,
2020 Jeep gladiator 6speed manual trans
4.88 re-geared.
55k miles
Question: replacing rear driveshaft seal.
My jeep is at the dealership for the w19 recall (pressure plate heating up and catching on fire) and they mentioned my rear driveshaft pinion seal is leaking... they want...
I've been digging around a bit for a T-case and a few new questions:
- Auto Vs manual Tcase: Does it matter, i believe on the Jk's the tcase is the same but input shafts had different lengths?
Anyone know if it's a simple bolt-up rubicon auto ----> manual sport?
Looks like finding a...
Thanks for the information.
My understanding (i may be wrong) is i have 2.72:1 tcase and 4:1 crawl ratio only affects the 4 lo?
I think.. i'd like to do the transfer case for my next mod as... some obstacles... just kills me having to clutch + brake while my spotter catches up on the next...
Hello,
sport
4.88 + lockers
35's
I'm really enjoying crawling with the gladiator and wondering if the rubi t-case is a good idea for me get an even lower gear ratio while... still being able to drive highway in 6th gear at 80 MPH below 3,500 rpms (secondary oil pump). After my regear, it's...
Driven MT my whole life (35) and love my 6MT Gladiator.
Drawbacks IMO for me:
- Wife can't help with driving.
- Offroad Crawling: I have the sport and with 35's with 3.73 gears... lots of stalling. I have sinced regeared 4.88 so we'll see if that helps.
*Edit* now with the regear, i am much...
I took my jeep back and the shop that installed the Arb lockers and regear couldn't figure it out.
However i Fixed Auto-stop light /ess and rear camera not working.
Per the the below forum link, from my understanding at least for the 6 speed manual trans... there's a secondary battery and you...
I just re-geared as well 4.88 with 35's 6MT. So far still doing my break in however am also getting the captain America light once the jeep warms up and oddly.. rear camera doesn't work once the light is triggered.
I am taking the jeep back to the shop that installed it to take a look. They...
Thanks for the illustration above and the more i think about it, i think i'll go with 4.88 gears.
I agree, i don't want to be stressing out the gladiator while cruising highway and i don't intend it to be a dedicated crawler as it's still my primary vehicle.
I am sure 4.88 gears...
Thanks for the info / insight, it does sound like i should maybe think about doing 4.88 given i am running 35's and with your numbers, i can go 37's and still have the 4.88 gears work.
my primary concern is how i'll crawl in 4low, do you think 4.88 will be a performance issues vs 5.13?
I...
Yeah trails opened october 8th (we were watching very closely).
I've done the same trails (gold mtn and heartbreak) so far, watching the other gladiator crawl with ease (no lockers engaged) was impressive stuff (he was auto).
My build as of today is adding:
- Front/rear ARB lockers
- 5.13...
Reviving an old thread here however i just drove gold mountain - big bear and man.. it was tough to crawl given my set up.
6speed manual
3.73 gears
35's with mopar 2' lift.
I am budgeting and planning on adding lockers and regearing 5.13.
I am hoping to use my 6th gear more and most...
I was thinking maybe recovery gear, tools and "extra stuff." i was thinking maybe a system that allows for easier access if need be.
Extra fuel / water are both great ideas. I'd probably want to test my rig out some more and see what space i would actually need...
great pictures!
Heartbreak ridge: i am asking for a buddy but do you think a jeep renegade with lift 225/65/17 k02 can do it? We're hoping to go in 2.5 weeks and i've been on the fence about his jeep making it.
So i was out wheelin and generally speaking, i really enjoy the MT while crawling however... this time around it was a very slow technical crawl and i stalled... a lot.
I've been driving stick since i was 16 (34 now) and very limited offroad experience.
I had a hard time (4L) time keeping it...
Boring idea but.. i honestly filled the storage space underneath the rear seats fairly quick.
I'd honestly buy a storage box that was low profile enough to not get caught wheeling and had a accessible latch.
