My question is do these sales popup around certain time of the year? I'm in the same boat as the original author and won't have funds really available until n
Ok what is different with your Gladiator than the other ones? Several posted having no issues with 6k lbs load of trailers, or cars, etc. And you struggle with 2k lbs. I feel there is some information missing.
this sounds like there is literally no issue with towing up the mountains at max load with the Gladiator, especially since it's still kinda hot here.
thanks
all good appreciate the humor
interesting approach, but not feasible
camper is already small, would be a RTT in this case to tow a boat
agree about the mojave, but limited roof-rack options
One of the boys rides up front with you. The spinner rides behind you in the back, because she's...
I'm a car nut, I research everything before I go to a dealer to know my stuff down to the bopt.
Any car I bought from the dealership the dealer was useless and didn't know anything about the cars they were selling. Like not even minor thinks about the gas capacity, etc.
So yes I do not own a...
Ok maybe I'm dense, but I just don't understand why would I need a 1 ton truck to tow 4000lbs and maybe 1000lbs of people/equipment. It seems like utter overkill.
Like right now my wk2 does all this, except for the tent and only replacing it since it's getting old and it's a bit weak in the...
this look spretty much perfect, what kind of tack is in the back and which RTT? The rack on top is a bit narrow, but wider bars would fix this, to have enough clearance on the side. Hell might even able to carry 2 kayaks
Wait he is from Germany, what kind of gallon is he referring to?
US Gallon is 3.78L
UK Gallon is 4.54L
Since he is in Essen, this would make sense, that is UK Gallon, which also frequently gets reported as unit of measure on Top Gear
The idea I had was a combination between this for the tent, so it's flush with the roof
and this for the kayak:
the current WK2 with the kayak looks like this
and with the upgraded rack, which should give me enough...
I have a 981 for short (fun) trips and an AUDI A6 for longer distance traveling wise. So it looks like, if gladiator, than it will need to be a diesel.
Not getting the quote:
Yeah that's what I'm used form my wk2. 2nd gear, 25mph.
And nobody would let you tow anything with a 320ti here. The us towing standards are super odd.
thanks yes this was my fear, of being tall, that its going to be cramped. The WK2 is border line, and on paper has the same legroom. And yes I know the screaming of the engine too well up Tahoe, hence looking at diesel options
so, I'm starting to slowly getting into the market of a new vehicle. Having a 12 year old WK2 (gas, 5 speed auto transmissions) at this stage and have a couple of requirements.
1. needs to be a pickup ( love the gladiator, but not a huge fan of the aging pentastar )
2. able to tow 4k+ pounds, I...
