  1. Rear Dash cam location

I drilled two holes in a piece of wood and slid it up the bars of the middle headrest.
  2. Rear Dash Cam Mounting Options

I ended up with two rear-facing cameras and ran the plugs to my dashcam. I can easily unplug one and switch over to the other as needed. For the first camera, I drilled two holes in a piece of wood and installed the bracket behind the center seat headrest. This allows me to switch between...
  3. Jeep Whining when letting off the gas

Mine with automatic transmission (17K miles) is still doing it. I have not gotten any MIL emails in months, so whatever was tripping that flag seems to have fixed itself. I put on a soft top for the summer and the noise didn't bother me. Now that it's winter with the hard top on, it's a lot...
  4. TPMS Driving me crazy

I'm in the Atlanta area and interested in the wheels.
  5. Old school wooden bed rails

I didn't want to drill into my bed either. And since the unistrut sits a little proud of the bed top rail, if you just attach vertical struts without support, you just basically have a teeter totter. For the wood rails, I cut some dado grooves so the outboard part of the vertical rail fits...
  6. Old school wooden bed rails

I didn't get a chance to reply before you tried it, but thanks for letting me know it doesn't work for mounting of recovery boards. Not surprised. The blocking I added to the bottom helps prevent any inward flex (i.e., inboard bowing of the rail tops), but I haven't figured out how to keep...
  7. SARGE GREEN Gladiator club

3/8” bolts and unistrut channel nuts. I posted a close up picture at https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/old-school-wooden-bed-rails.41292/post-914474
  8. Hum when letting off the gas normal with this truck?

Did you ever get this resolved? My 2021 Overland that makes a similar noise, but it doesn't go away when I shift to neutral. I also get emails from Jeep Service stating I have a Malfunction Indicator Light for Powertrain malfunction, but there are no lights on the dashboard.
  9. Jeep Whining when letting off the gas

Pinging this thread to see if you guys ever figured out the noise. My 2021 JT Overland makes an "engine braking" noise when I take my foot off the gas. It's a little subtle, but I hear it and never had any issues before January. This started suddenly and correlates with emails from Jeep...
  10. Old school wooden bed rails

Thanks. Have been getting nothing but positive feedback after I built these. Here's a closer view of the vertical rail. All the wood is actual 1" by 4" walnut. I used a dado set to cut some grooves that matched my unistrut, and glued some cutoff scraps onto the bottom for support in case of...
  11. Questions regarding the Gladiator

I don't have a tonneau cover, but a car top carrier (which I already had) fit nicely atop some 2x4 rails attached to homemade trail rails. It kept luggage dry for 3 of us on our holiday road trip.

Thanks. I got ahold of some walnut boards from a specialty wood supplier and cut them to actual 1"x4" (not 3/4" by 3.5" you would get at the hardware store for pine 1x4s) for the sides and supports. I carved the logo on my CNC router.
  13. SARGE GREEN Gladiator club

I love the color. As a retired Soldier, I added 6" stars on the rear quarter panels and a 2" star on the front bumper as a tribute to old WW2 jeeps. Also built some wood side rails to reinforce the "old truck" look. Actually had someone at a stop light ask me if it was a restoration!
  14. Old school wooden bed rails

I felt the same about it looking like a 1950's truck, and was inspired by the photos on this thread. Here's a photo of my recently completed walnut bed rails attached to unistrut trail rails. I used a CNC machine to carve the Gladiator logo into the side.
  15. Problem this morning!!

I don't like ESS. I began turning it off as part of my engine starting procedure, but then started getting the warning light about ESS not available. I don't want it anyway, but also don't like getting the warning light. Based on the second diagram posted by Renegade, it appears that the aux...
