I don't think that fuel filler location will work, at least as rendered. It looks like the fuel filler nozzle will hit the flare. I think it will likely be behind the rear wheel. There is plenty of sheet metal in that area.
This JL based render looks great! I'd love to see a 2 door render based...
The JT renders seem to be based off the JK. It may be the angle, but the shape of the grille seems to be more JK than JL. The JL is more trapezoidal. I want perfection with my renders! ;) And I agree, 2 too many doors. But I'll keep quiet, after years and years of wanting a Jeep pickup (2 door)...
At 40K per year, I imagine you will recoup the costs. Are diesels in the US desirable now? American diesels of the 80's left a bad taste in the mouths of many. I'm an old dog so no offense, but I'll wait to see the 'take rate" on the Wrangler diesels to see if they really are worth the extra...
Because that's what the manufacturers offer in 4 door models to prevent the truck from being too long. They know they can sell these to the weekend warriors. People want the "truck look" and need 4 doors for their family, I get it. But they aren't bought by people that need a truck for serious...
I'm hoping there will be a 2-door. That version should be able to have a 6' or slightly longer bed without making he truck too long. I understand most people want/need a 4 door truck. A 6' bed on the 4-door is going to make that model really long. The 4 door bed is scaled by mid_south_rzr in...
Drop the diesel? Automatic transmission runs about $1200. So you save ~$4800 by going with the gas V6 (assuming your prices are reasonably accurate). If you are financing, the additional interest for the diesel may offset any savings due to diesel MPG. Remember, pay back on the diesel engine...
6 or 6.5' bed on the 4 door would seemingly make it a very long vehicle. I'm guessing 5' bed. Now give me a 6 or 6.5' bed on a 2 door JT and I'll say SOLD!
To answer the OP's question: I want to see the trapezoidal grille, turn signals in the grille, and no fender vents (or restyled to not run...
Read items displayed as red. Thanks for making the change to the light format, and thanks for making the gray option available to those that like it. :)
I love the 2 door white JL. It's my desktop wall paper.
For me, the side vents are a major visual distraction (maybe they will look better in person). The indentation just looks awkward where it runs into the flare. If it where a more distinct indentation, like one of the earlier renders, I...
I'm sure I saw an option to go to the "bright" mode, but now I can't find an option to change the background. The red lettering on the dark gray background is difficult for me to read. The homepage is a white background, at least for me, but the forums have a dark gray background.
If this is...
Now that I think about it, Gladiator makes me think of Russel Crow. :)
Edit: Meant to quote post #15. I don't recall that quote but just referencing the movie Airplane makes me laugh.
I hope it's not Gladiator, something about that name that does not project strength, power, durability, masculinity, etc. IMO, It's a wimpy name. Gladiator -> Rambler. It's what roaches are when you turn on the lights. I'd go for Gladiator or something new.
I hope you after market flat fender manufacturers will have a kit to put the turn signals back in the grill, WHERE THEY BELONG!. :) Unfortunately an extra cost for us, but turn signals in the fenders are just plain wrong.
