Ask them to look at the star connectors. A corroded one will act like the start stop issue. We went through them replacing the start stop - the shifter - part of the power steering control module before they found a bad connector. Best of luck.

Just had the same problem, only 1200 miles (2022 jeep gladiator rubicon) - they replaced the power steering pump - had a short in the electrical component - fingers crossed that we don't have any more issues because I love my jeep.
