  1. Nokian LT3 Size? (285/70/17 D or 235/80/17 E)

I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up Hak9s. The LT3s are not significantly louder that the Falken AT3s I run in the summer. In the Hakka lineup, the studs fit slightly into little pockets that I think help alleviate some of the noise. In contrast the Michelin studs were noticeably louder.
  2. Nokian LT3 Size? (285/70/17 D or 235/80/17 E)

I thought I would follow up on my prior post for anyone that might be interested. I opted for the 285/70/17D and put a winter driving season on them. I’m mostly on ice covered highways, ice/snow covered city roads and gravel mountain roads up to ski hills. A couple of observations: 1) I...
  3. Help me pick a soft top for my Gladiator

It takes me exactly 1 hour to switch from the hardtop to the Mopar factory soft top. It takes about 30 minutes to switch back. It’s quiet, easily flips open/closed, it’s well sealed (I can go through an automatic car wash with it) and they’re readily available BNIB on FB Market.
  4. Soft top Noise

I run a hard top in the winter and a soft top in the summer. I just switched back to the soft top yesterday, so I have a pretty good A vs. B comparison. It’s clearly louder, but not as you describe. You can hear loud engines or loud tires of adjacent vehicles more clearly with the soft top. If...
  5. Gladiator rear creak when cold.

My truck does the same when the temperature drops below -20C. Mine is a 2022 Sport S. It has creaked when cold since ~4,000km. The truck has about 8,500km now.
  6. Nokian LT3 Size? (285/70/17 D or 235/80/17 E)

I’m shopping for winter tires. I know it feels early, but they tend to sell out early. I’m pretty committed to the studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3, but I’m curious about everyone’s thoughts on sizing. I’m located in Alberta Canada where we get frequent snow/melt/freeze/snow cycles. I won’t...
