So, I tried to get mine off, but failed. When facing the tailgate, the bottom hinge on the left would not budge. I could not slide the tailgate off that side. I tried opening the tailgate at various degrees, but could not slide the tailgate off of that left side hinge. Is there a trick i'm missing??

I didn't mention those stats originally as I thought that the backspacing was a fixed number describing the distance from the hub to the inside lilp of the wheel regardless of how wide the wheel was, offset, etc...
For those who have metalcloak's 3.5 gamechanger can you do me a favor and check to see how much clearance from the outboard shock mounts the wheel has left at full lock and what your backspacing is?
I know they will only say 4.5 is the most you can go, but the wheel i'm looking at has 4.76...
Yeah, I have had my JT for 3 weeks now and am driving the dreaded wet noodle as well. Pretty sad when you have to hang on to the wheel at 10 & 2 and then constantly shoulder the wheel back and forth like a freaking metronome just to keep the truck going in a straight line. My JK was dead solid...
