New Lift!
Got the truck back from Trailtec 4x4 after replacing the Mopar 2" lift with the AEV 2.5 Dualsport JT kit.
Holy Cow!!!! Amazing difference!!! The truck is TIGHT!
I was pretty happy with the Mopar lift, to be honest, but I was starting to get a little tired of all the lateral sway...
Me either…. But actually, to be perfectly correct, Whiskey in the Jar is a very old Irish/Gaelic folk song. You’ll probably hear played it in any Irish pub with live music. Google “Seamus Kennedy” and you ought to find one of the best renditions ever!
Rodent Repellers!
Got a pair of them on Amazon.

Put some adhesive backed velcro on them,
and stuck one to the top of the fuse box so the strobe light points straight at “Rat Patio” on top of my battery cover,
and...
I didn't do it, and it wasn't today...
Got a Check Engine Light on Sunday.
Took it to the dealer on Monday.
Dealer called me Monday afternoon.
Large Evap Leak.
Mice ate my Evap Line!
Last summer, on vacation at Dinosaur National Monument in CO, I opened the hood to find a weasel sitting on...
Overhead Bed Lights.
(Edited: added a couple of “after” photos, in the dark. It was pitch black outside, too…)
Mounted 2 KC Cyclone puck lights inside the cross bars of my Fab Fours Overland Bed Rack - one in the center of each crossbar. I thought about doing the LED strips on the...
Can you give some more details on how you tied into the cargo light? I want to add some bed lights to my rack and connect them to the cargo lights, but having a hard time figuring out where/how to make the connection.
Re-gear complete! Picked up the truck on Thursday from Trailtec 4x4 in Richmond with the new Dana 4:88s installed. Loved the feel of it instantly. I wanted more low-end and I got it - doesn’t feel like I’m just skipping through the lower gears on the way to 5th and 6th anymore. I guess what...
Where exactly did you tap into the power? I'm figuring out how to add some overhead bed lighting to my bed rack, haven't settled on where to tap into, and this looks it might be good location to work to.
Catching up on a few installs...
Took the truck to Crutchfield last month and upgraded my stereo:
The Rockford Fosgate marine-grade amp went under the passenger seat
and the digital controller went inside the dash on the right side of the glove box. Polk speakers in the dash, kneewall and roll...
Realizing I'm WAAAAAAY late to this discussion, but just thought my own experience might be helpful for other noobs like me.
I wrestled with that plug for about 15 minutes, couldn't get good purchase on it from either side, especially since I thought I needed to twist it to unlock it... (You...
I had the dealer mount the Mopar 2" lift and Nitto Ridge Grappler 37x12.5 on Black Rhino Armory 17" wheels as soon as it arrived at the dealership, so I have never driven my Gladiator with stock tires/wheels/suspension. I have put over 30,000 mile son my JT now, and have zero, and I mean...
My first two mods were done before I even saw the truck:
2" Mopar Lift
37/17/12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on Black Rhino Armory wheels
In my opinion, this is not only highly practical, but gives the truck a stance and look that is the heart and soul of its image. I was blown away when I saw it...
Yes, GMRS is completely open to the public just like CB and FRS. You are supposed to pay for a license (good for 10 years) and be issued a call sign - the license and call sign are good for your "entire family"... Range is better than CB (or FRS).
Love your Rotopax mount system! ;)
Been thinking a lot about bed lighting, and have been considering using KC Cyclones on magnets, like I did for my rock lights, but haven't checked yet if they would fit inside the Fab Fours cross brace channels.
Looks like you mounted one of your Rigid...
Fab Fours. I think it looks pretty good (definitely not typical), but not as practical as the “typical” racks. A lot less real estate to hang stuff on. I had to gin up the Rotopax moonts myself because there’s really no good place for them on the as-is rack. Other than that, it’s been great...
