I’ve actually got a thread going on here about my Mojave and bumper/winch. My bumper and winch setup is around 175 pounds and i do hit the hydraulic bump stops when hitting potholes or speed bumps in a parking lot at low speeds (5mph). It’s not bottoming out, just kissing them, but i do feel it...
Yep. Lessons learned. I actually like the way it drives with the added weight, aside from hitting the bumpstops every now and then. They aren’t completely bottoming out just touching so it’s really not a big problem.
Just added a new bumper and winch to my 22 Mojave and it seems like im hitting the hydraulic bumps fairly easily at low speed. Think hitting a speed bump at 5mph or a unnoticed hole off-road at low speed and feeling them. Strangely it doesn’t seem to do it at higher speed. Anyone else notice...
I’ll probably just let it ride for a while. It’s not ever going to be a show vehicle. It’s life will be spent playing, working and hauling fishing and hunting gear. A cracked windshield isn’t too big of a deal.
Howdy folks,
First post. Be gentle lol. I NEVER thought id buy a JT or a jeep in general, but last Friday i fell into a Mojave and it somehow followed me home lol. I’ve always had one ton or three quarter ton trucks so i was apprehensive, but boy do i sure love this thing! Only has 300 miles...
