I just picked up a used aluminum cap from a tacoma and it is what I have been looking for for a long time. There is a cap place in York (M&M I think) that has options for you and is close to you. Good luck

I am going to color match the cap and add wing windows in the side for access. Scribbled a black version and cut and pasted a grey version, once it matches it will blend in better. Anyway I need a cap for the dogs so this’ll do.

I finally tracked down a suitable hard topper. This is an older aluminum topper, light as a feather and fits really well - not perfect but I didn’t spend $3000 either. More pictures once I get it how I want it but I am pleased with the fit versus the one from last fall.

The OP has - it is good as mentioned above for dry storage but not secure, hence the quest for a hardtop. Nice truck btw!

if you were to spend $2500 on cap and mods you’d be better off buying the correct cap and bolting it down. I am not against painting it but it is not worth doing extensive body work to imo. The cap clearly doesn’t fit the lines of the truck but it is would be secure…
