Fuel economy with trip to Terlingua/Big Bend from FW. Bed/cab full of gear etc.
Highway speed limits generally 75-85 mph, 80- 90* temps with wind. Sustained high speeds 20-30 min. could elevate engine oil temps to 242* coolant 222* pyrometer running 1100* . No detune (noticed)

Kevlarr, Just a FYI. Had similar warranty repair work done at 3900 mi. Now at 5,500 mi with no issues. Have kept an eye on def level to see that it is in fact using fluid. Down to 3/4 Def tank level.
So far so good.
No issues pushing 4000 mi. Realize got a ways to go......
Update, Now display has read the dreaded. Engine Will Not Restart in (so many) mi. Service DEF See Dealer. (Def tank was/is not low, good Def.) Have cleared codes twice. Last time dealer cleared and drove it over 100 mi no problem...

Just an FYI. Factory equipment for now, new Diesel Rubi, 33's, 3.73 gears. 100 mi in rolling hills in North Texas 2 lane, small towns to I-35 @ 70-75 mph across Oklahoma to Ks. Hot, humid weather.
Encouraging mpg as it breaks in. We'll see............
